Ocean views and access to a lovely sandy beach are just two of the highlights in this cozy San Diego vacation rental! Comb the beach for seashells or just relax your toes in the water as you're never far from the majestic Pacific at this charming home fit for up to five guests!

Dolphin Beach Walk and Pacific Beach are just moments away as is downtown San Diego so you may feel secluded but you're never far from the thick of the action. La Jolla is easily accessible via the Dolphin Beach Walk as well!

Flanked by palm trees, this cozy one-story home has an intimate living room with a leather sofa, matching armchair, and two bay windows overlooking the sea. A light and airy kitchen, complete with wood cupboards and a small dining table and gas range, make nights in cooking a fun affair. The two-seat breakfast bar is a great spot for a cozy weekend brunch and the small patio makes dining al fresco a culinary delight.

Two bedrooms, both with queen beds, are situated just down the hall. The rooms are bookends of each other, boasting wooden bed frames and plaid duvets. A shared bathroom with a marble sink and plenty of towels makes washing up as easy as 1, 2, 3.

WiFi is free. If you want to head to the beach, grab one of the four beach chairs and watch the sunrise or sunset, whatever's your pleasure. An enclosed yard allows for plenty of privacy and an outdoor grill is perfect for summer holidays.

Downtown San Diego is just minutes away by car. The trendy Gaslamp Quarter is a nightlife mecca but head to East County for up-and-coming wine or taste a highly-rated IPA at one of the myriad breweries popping up in town. And don't forget the famous San Diego Zoo.

This cozy Southern California vacation rental is perfect for a small family or two couples looking to feel the sun and warm ocean breezes.

About Vacasa, CA - San Diego County Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Not a bad pace to stay

 • 3 of 5

My wife and I stayed here and loved the cleanliness and the location of the house. It is only a few hundred feet from the beach. The only things we didn’t like were the beds and couch, they are a little on the uncomfortable side. This place would be perfect if there were pillow top beds and a comfy couch. And maybe a little bigger TV in the bedrooms.

Cozy beach house

 • 4 of 5

Cozy beach house close enough to the ocean to hear the waves and quick access to the beach paths. The couches aren't the most comfortable and the winter sun doesn't reach the main patio but has a good location, quite neighborhood and plenty of parking.

Great spot to spend your relaxing vacation on the beach house

 • 5 of 5

Check in and out process was easy - we called the number provided, and the property manager picked up right away and gave us an entrance code. The property was located a few steps away from the beach, and we could hear nice calm ocean wave sound throughout the day. The spacious patio had two gas grills. We did not use these grills, but the property has plenty of grill gears in the kitchen. Although it was a shared patio, everyone on the property was very respectful and we did not feel shy of using the patio to have a nice light breakfast every morning. On Thanksgiving dinner, we picked up pre-cooked turkey dinner from Sprouts (we had a car). The kitchen was spacious and included full amenities. We were able to heat up the pre-cooked meal and enjoy on the patio, no problem. We had division of labor among four adults to heat up the meal, and we did not feel crowded in the kitchen at any point. The property came with several beach enjoyable items (two beach cruisers, one surf board, two boogie boards, two beach chairs, beach toys, etc.). These beach items were stored in the parking garage. The garage was a bit small to park 4D sedan car, but there were plenty of street parking spots available at no cost.
The best part of our stay was the fact the I got engaged with the most amazing girl and the love of my life (I call her "the pretties princess in the world"). I searched for the perfect ring for the last three months, and I searched for the perfect spot to give her that ring over the Thanksgiving break. I had plan A, B, C, D, and E which all involved romantic places for potential proposal spots. All these places were fifteen minutes away by driving from the property, so I did not have to make it too suspicious to take her to these spots. I just suggested "let's check out [blah blah] place 15 minutes away from our rental house. It's a nice walk on the beach or it's a nice landmark to check out." I got "YES" on the first day at the plan A spot, which was Point Loma Light House over sunset, but if this did not go well as I planned, I was going to casually suggest to check out Torrey Pines National Park, La Jolla Cove, Balboa Park, Coronado Island, south part of Mission Beach area, etc. all within reasonable distances.

Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay, and we will definitely suggest this property to any friends and family looking forward to have a relaxing beach house stay experience or challenging and adventurous San Diego trip.

Clean nice place by the beach.

Small, nice 2-bedroom that is right by the beach. Walking distance down to the Pacific Beach pier. We had a great weekend and walked all over.
