Maui Kamaole Condominium is South Kihei's finest first class property. It is located in South Kihei, on the border of Wailea (.02 mile, as I walk it daily when I'm on island) with beautiful beaches, all of the Wailea resorts, shopping, restaurants and championship golf courses close at hand. My condo is directly across from the most popular Kihei beach, Kamaole III Beach and Park; swimming, snorkeling, surfing and wave riding are excellent here, this is also the 'Mallory Square' (ala Key West) of Maui. Take a few of my 'beach' wine glasses and a fabulous bottle of wine, and celebrate the end of, yet another, PERFECT day in PARADISE; surrounded by locals and guests alike - all thanking their lucky stars that they're on Maui (also known as Heaven).
Maui Kamaole's 23 acre condominium property is a low-rise (only 2 stories) and low-density complex with extensive lawns and lush tropical landscaping enhancing its' dramatic hillside setting. My smoke-free unit is located in the most desirable oceanview "A" building. There are no buildings or obstructions in front of my condo, assuring you of stunning and UNOBSTRUCTED OCEAN VIEWS (the palms in my main photo are grown now, so out of the view, I just forgot to take a new photo when I was last on island), sunsets, views of the island on Lanai and Molokini Crater, stargazing and whale watching from the privacy of your own lanai.
My unit is a very spacious 900 square feet on the ground floor (a ramp from the parking area and no steps into the unit make it handicap accessible). It is flooded with sunlight, modern, comfortable and very well equipped. Being a New York City interior designer, I selected the furniture, art and finishes to reflect an island serenity and theme without resorting to the tacky cliché of tropical pastels and prints. The entire condo was completely remodeled in 2006 - 18"x18" stone floor tiles throughout (extending to both the ocean and mountain lanais, as well); a new kitchen with new appliances, maple cabinetry, granite counters, cookware, dishes and glassware; two sumptuous custom baths with marble showers (both large enough for two), Grohe fixtures, granite basins, imported light fixtures, bamboo hardware and Ralph Lauren bath linens.
The bedroom is large with a king-size bed outfitted with 600 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, an en suite master bath with dual sink vanity & walk-in shower, two large closets, Indonesian teak furniture and a completely private, enclosed lanai. The living/dining area has an open, airy feeling with earth-toned upholstery, teak & koa wood accents, an antique Chinese media cabinet (which houses the entertainment system complete with AM/FM stereo, 6-CD changer & cassettte player, VCR, DVD and 25-inch color TV), bamboo wall coverings and original artwork (from Hawaiian artists). All of these elements blend harmoniously with the unimpeded ocean views from the 22'+ expanse of glass composed of new, insulated and soundproof, double sliding doors.
This is not a standard rental condo; it is a chic and comfortable island home. In fact, this is my Maui residence three to four months annually. I limit my rentals to two adults and children over 12 who will care for my property, and enjoy it as much as I do. It is the perfect place for the extended, comfortable, romantic stay on Maui. My welcome goes out to honeymooning couples (champagne gift baskets and in-room couples massages can be arranged in advance for an additional charge). Additionally, I enthusiastically welcome seniors, singles and gay travellers.
Amenities at Maui Kamaole Condominium complex include multiple tennis courts, two swimming pools (one with a waterfall), hot tubs, poolside gazebos and gas barbecue areas. Excellent shopping (the Shops at Wai lea - numerous art gallerys and clothing stores as well as Tiffany's, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Versace, etc.), movie theaters, restaurants (Spago at The Four Seasons, Sarrento's on the Beach, Joe's Bar and Grill, Maui Taco, Longi's, Roy's, Cafe O'Lei, Sansei Sushi, etc.), championship golf and the best beaches on all of Maui are literally steps away (I've spent thousands of hours on Keawakapu Beach - a 5 minute walk as are Kamaole I, II & III; and my all time favorite - Wailea Beach in front of the Four Seasons Resort - is a 5 minute drive with ample parking). The historic whaling town of Lahaina & world famous Ka'anapalii Beach are 24 miles (45 minutes)away; horseback riding at Makenna stables is 9 miles away (25 minutes); the Maui Ocean Center & Aquarium at Ma'alea Harbor is 10 miles away (20 minutes). Additionally, necessities such as grocery stores, pharmacies, dry cleaners, hair/nail salons, post office, Starbucks, Blockbusters, etc. are minutes away. Whale watching in the winter is excellent from the comfort of my direct oceanview lanai.
A great friend at Maui Activity World (an Expedia company) can arrange for any and every activity you can possibly imagine at the best prices. Also, I have regular contact with the 1BR/2Ba unit next door to mine, so ASK if you need more space - as often both units are available at the same time!!
