My FABULOUSLY LUXURIOUS OCEANVIEW 1 bedroom / 2 bath condo is located in the Maui Kamaole Condominium complex: South Kihei's finest first class property. It is located in South Kihei, on the Wailea border with beautiful beaches, all of the Wailea resorts, shopping, restaurants and championship golf courses close at hand. My condo is directly across from the most popular Kihei beach, Kamaole III Beach and Park; swimming, snorkeling, surfing and wave riding are excellent here, this is also the 'Mallory Square' (ala Key West) of Maui. Take a few of my 'beach' wine glasses and a fabulous bottle of wine, and celebrate the end of, yet another, PERFECT day in PARADISE; surrounded by locals and guests alike - all thanking their lucky stars that they're on Maui (also known as Heaven).
Maui Kamaole's 23 acre condominium property is a low-rise and low-density complex with extensive lawns and lush tropical landscaping enhancing its' dramatic hillside setting. My smoke-free unit is located in the most desirable oceanview 'A' building. There are no obstructions in front of my condo, assuring you of stunning and UNOBSTRUCTED OCEAN VIEWS, sunsets, views of the island on Lanai and Molokini Crater, stargazing and whale watching from the privacy of your own lanai.
My unit is a very spacious 900 square feet on the ground floor (a ramp from the parking area and no steps into the unit make it handicap accessible). It is flooded with sunlight, modern, comfortable and very well equipped. Being a New York City interior designer, I selected the furniture, art and finishes to reflect an island serenity and theme without resorting to the tacky cliché of tropical pastels and prints. The entire condo was completely remodeled in 2008 - 18'x18' stone floor tiles throughout (extending to both the ocean and mountain lanais, as well); a new kitchen with new appliances, maple cabinetry, granite counters, cookware, dishes and glassware; two sumptuous custom baths with marble showers (both large enough for two), Grohe fixtures, granite basins, imported light fixtures, bamboo hardware and Ralph Lauren bath linens.
The bedroom is large with brand new, pillow top king-size bed outfitted with 600 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, an en suite master bath with dual sink vanity & walk-in shower, two large closets, Indonesian teak furniture and a completely private, enclosed lanai. The living/dining area has an open, airy feeling with earth-toned upholstery, teak & koa wood accents, an antique Chinese media cabinet (which houses the entertainment system complete with AM/FM stereo, CD & Bose iPod sound doc, DVD and 32-inch, flat-screen color TV), bamboo wall coverings and original artwork (from Hawaiian artists). All of these elements blend harmoniously with the unimpeded ocean views from the 22'+ expanse of glass composed of new, insulated and soundproof, double sliding doors.
This is not a standard rental condo; it is a chic and comfortable island home. In fact, this is my Maui residence three to four months annually. I limit my rentals to two adults and children over 16 who will care for my property, and enjoy it as much as I do. It is the perfect place for the extended, comfortable, romantic stay on Maui. My welcome goes out to honeymooning couples (champagne gift baskets and in-room couples massages can be arranged in advance for an additional charge). Additionally, I enthusiastically welcome seniors, singles and gay travellers.
Amenities at Maui Kamaole Condominium complex include multiple tennis courts, two swimming pools (one with a waterfall), hot tubs, poolside gazebos and gas barbecue areas. Excellent shopping at the Shops at Wailea - numerous art gallerys and clothing stores as well as Tiffany's, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Coach (the BEST managed Coach store in the world, BTW), etc., movie theaters, restaurants (Spago at The Four Seasons, Sarrento's on the Beach, Joe's Bar and Grill, Maui Taco, Longi's, Roy's, Cafe O'Lei, Sansei Sushi, etc.), championship golf and the best beaches on all of Maui are literally steps away (I've spent thousands of hours on Keawakapu Beach - a 5 minute walk as are Kamaole I, II & III; and my all time favorite - Wailea Beach in front of the Four Seasons Resort - is a 5 minute drive with ample parking). The historic whaling town of Lahaina & world famous Ka'anapalii Beach are 24 miles (45 minutes) away; horseback riding at Makenna stables is 9 miles away (25 minutes); the Maui Ocean Center & Aquarium at Ma'alea Harbor is 10 miles away (20 minutes). Additionally, necessities such as grocery stores, pharmacies, dry cleaners, hair/nail salons, post office, Starbucks, Blockbusters, etc. are minutes away. Whale watching in the winter is excellent from the comfort of my direct oceanview lanai.
Also, I have regular contact with the 1BR/2Ba unit next door to mine, so ASK if you need more space - as often both units are available at the same time!!

I just got back from a very relaxing vacation in Maui. I stayed at this beautiful condo in Kihei. Kihei is such a nice town - quiet and peaceful, yet lots of fun things to do within walking distance. There are plenty of shops and restaurants and even a club or two with live music for evening entertainment. There's a beach just steps across the road and many more within a very short drive. I swam on the beach and snorkeled, and relaxed by the very nice pools that the condo community has to offer.
Maui is a gorgeous island and this condo is centrally located in Kihei so that you have quick and easy access to things like helicopter rides or driving up the volcano for the incredible views of the island. I highly recommend the helicopter ride. It was the best! You are also a very short drive away from Maalaea where you can catch a sunset cruise, deep sea fishing or snorkeling cruises.
The unit itself is nicely decorated with local island flair. It has everything you need to have fun on the beach, including beach chairs, snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach mats and towels. It's situated at the front of the complex facing the ocean so you have an amazing view. I spent time out on the lanai just watching the ocean and relaxing.
The owner was gracious and helpful. He even provided a book in the condo with restaurant menus and recommendations as well as activities to help you plan a great time while you're here.
I highly recommend Maui for your next vacation and this condo is the place you want to stay in Kihei when you go!

My partner and I stayed 8 nights at Todd's perfect Maui condo. The condo unit itself is spacious and very comortable complete with all the amenities to make the stay enjoyable. The bathrooms are state of the art, and all of the furnishings were very deluxe. Todd has also provided snorkeling equipement for use as well a boogie boards to test out the surrounding beaches. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Todd's place on Maui. The property was spotless. Everything was very clean well organized. The furniture was also very nice, and the bed was big and very comfortable. There were many paintings in the condo, as well--all of which made it feel very rich and well appointed. The view from the patio was great--you looked out across some of the manicured lawns to another part of Maui, and to the left out to Lanaii. We would definitely book this place again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to land a stay in Todd's beautifully appointed condo for our honeymoon. We were greeted with a luscious Hawaiian fruit and champagne basket as well as a clean and tastefully decorated home for Maui exploring! The pineapple was the best we ever tasted! Nothing like Hawaiian fruit! We arrived at night so had no idea what was in store for us upon awakening. When we woke up and walked out to the oceanside lanai, we were overcome with the beauty of the island--and all from our own porch! We could not have had a better time. Todd made reservations for us at his table at Spago's, where we enjoyed a wonderful meal with an unforgettable sunset! The memories will last a lifetime! We spent the Thanksgiving holiday on Maui at Todd's condo. It was absolutely everything he describes, and more. It gave us a real sense of returning home each afternoon or evening when we were done exploring the island and needed to wind down. It's impeccable, Todd has excellent taste in furnishings, and being able to make some of our meals meant we were able to splurge on some other experiences. We will definitely look into availability the next time we return to the island! The view at this condo is exquisite! A must see for sure! We loved everything about it. Opened the sliders at both ends of the place and had a great breeze totally canceling the need for air conditioning. Todd was fantastic to work with and has great taste. This condo is definitely a cut above the rest! We enjoyed the book of recommended dining options put together by Todd and had a top notch experience dining at the 4 Seasons with great friends. We were treated like royalty at the mention of Todd's name! Seated at table 52 in time for a glorious sunset, waited on hand and foot by very attentive staff and a champagne toast on the house to boot! Definitely stay here! I certainly look forward to staying again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I rented Todd's condo from Feb 13 to 24, 2012 and enjoyed it so much we are booked again for Feb 2013. Our first visit to Maui was in 2011 and we stayed in a decent place just down the road. But for our 2012 visit we wanted something more up scale and now we can't imagine staying anywhere else when we visit Maui. I agree with everything in the other reviews - there is nothing more to add since the other guests have covered all the bases and they are bang on. Maui is a wonderful place to visit and staying at Todd's condo....................well, it just feels like you've come home!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My wife and I loved staying at Todd's condo earlier this month for our honeymoon. The whole experience was just perfect and so much better than staying at an impersonal (and overpriced hotel.) Todd was so great to work with and he made himself very available if we had any needs at all. He even offered to put a word in for us at some of the nice restaurants in Maui where he's a regular. One of my favorite parts was definitely all the beach supplies they had on hand in the unit. The beach chairs, beach umbrellas, snorkel gear, and coolers were all used regularly by us during our stay. They made the whole beach experience so much more fun without any hassle of renting anything at all. By the way, if you're a nerd like me and wanted to know in advance, the TV in the unit has a couple HDMI plugs. If you wanted to bring your laptop and hook it up to the TV via HDMI to watch some videos (or instant Netflix via in-unit WiFi) when you're tired of the sun, then that's all there for you. Sitting out on the lanai and having breakfast in the unit each morning was perfect. You feel very secluded out there and you have a great view of the ocean between some palm trees. Watching sunsets there later at night was amazing as well. The last thing I would mention is that this place had the cleanliness of a hotel room. Todd has a cleaning person come in to the unit between guests and makes the place feel brand new. All the towels are folded hotel style. At the end of our time there, we asked Todd what we could do to help clean up. All he said was 'Just put dirty towels in the laundry basket.' Of course, we tidied up best we could on our own. But, to not stress about totally cleaning up the place perfectly was amazing. I would highly recommend this place (and will be recommending it) to friends and family and to any VRBO'ers. The place is so affordable for what you're getting. You're not right on the beach, but who cares? You can see the ocean from the front porch. You're not going to want to stick to one beach in Maui the whole time anyway. You're going to want to hop in the car and go explore. Todd's condo is a restful place to come home to after a day of exploring Maui and we felt completely at home.
