My FABULOUS, OCEANVIEW 1 bedroom/2 bath condo is located in the Maui Kamaole Condominium complex: South Kihei's finest first class property. It is located in South Kihei, on the Wailea border with beautiful beaches, all of the Wailea resorts, shopping, restaurants and championship golf courses close at hand. My condo is directly across from the most popular Kihei beach, Kamaole III Beach and Park; swimming, snorkeling, surfing and wave riding are excellent here, this is also the 'Mallory Square' (ala Key West) of Maui. Take a few of my 'beach' wine glasses and a fabulous bottle of wine, and celebrate the end of, yet another, PERFECT day in PARADISE; surrounded by locals and guests alike - all thanking their lucky stars that they're on Maui (also known as Heaven).
Maui Kamaole's 23 acre condominium property is a low-rise and low-density complex with extensive lawns and lush tropical landscaping enhancing its' dramatic hillside setting. My smoke-free unit is located in the most desirable oceanview "A" building. There are no obstructions in front of my condo, assuring you of stunning and UNOBSTRUCTED OCEAN VIEWS, sunsets, views of the island on Lanai and Molokini Crater, stargazing and whale watching from the privacy of your own lanai.
My unit is a very spacious 900 square feet on the ground floor (a ramp from the parking area and no steps into the unit make it handicap accessible). It is flooded with sunlight, modern, comfortable and very well equipped. Being a New York City interior designer, I selected the furniture, art and finishes to reflect an island serenity and theme without resorting to the tacky cliché of tropical pastels and prints. The entire condo was completely remodeled in 2008 - 18"x18" stone floor tiles throughout (extending to both the ocean and mountain lanais, as well); a new kitchen with new appliances, maple cabinetry, granite counters, cookware, dishes and glassware; two sumptuous custom baths with marble showers (both large enough for two), Grohe fixtures, granite basins, imported light fixtures, bamboo hardware and Ralph Lauren bath linens.
The bedroom is large with a king-size bed outfitted with 600 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, an en suite master bath with dual sink vanity & walk-in shower, two large closets, Indonesian teak furniture and a completely private, enclosed lanai. The living/dining area has an open, airy feeling with earth-toned upholstery, teak & koa wood accents, an antique Chinese media cabinet (which houses the entertainment system complete with AM/FM stereo, CD & Bose iPod sound doc, DVD and 32-inch, flat-screen color TV), bamboo wall coverings and original artwork (from Hawaiian artists). All of these elements blend harmoniously with the unimpeded ocean views from the 22'+ expanse of glass composed of new, insulated and soundproof, double sliding doors.
This is not a standard rental condo; it is a chic and comfortable island home. In fact, this is my Maui residence three to four months annually. I limit my rentals to two adults and children over 12 who will care for my property, and enjoy it as much as I do. It is the perfect place for the extended, comfortable, romantic stay on Maui. My welcome goes out to honeymooning couples (champagne gift baskets and in-room couples massages can be arranged in advance for an additional charge). Additionally, I enthusiastically welcome seniors, singles and gay travellers.
Amenities at Maui Kamaole Condominium complex include multiple tennis courts, two swimming pools (one with a waterfall), hot tubs, poolside gazebos and gas barbecue areas. Excellent shopping at the Shops at Wai lea - numerous art gallerys and clothing stores as well as Tiffany's, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Coach(the BEST managed Coach store in the world, BTW), etc., movie theaters, restaurants (Spago at The Four Seasons, Sarrento's on the Beach, Joe's Bar and Grill, Maui Taco, Longi's, Roy's, Cafe O'Lei, Sansei Sushi, etc.), championship golf and the best beaches on all of Maui are literally steps away (I've spent thousands of hours on Keawakapu Beach - a 5 minute walk as are Kamaole I, II & III; and my all time favorite - Wailea Beach in front of the Four Seasons Resort - is a 5 minute drive with ample parking). The historic whaling town of Lahaina & world famous Ka'anapalii Beach are 24 miles (45 minutes)away; horseback riding at Makenna stables is 9 miles away (25 minutes); the Maui Ocean Center & Aquarium at Ma'alea Harbor is 10 miles away (20 minutes). Additionally, necessities such as grocery stores, pharmacies, dry cleaners, hair/nail salons, post office, Starbucks, Blockbusters, etc. are minutes away. Whale watching in the winter is excellent from the comfort of my direct oceanview lanai.
Also, I have regular contact with the 1BR/2Ba unit next door to mine, so ASK if you need more space - as often both units are available at the same time!!

Great Maui condo with ocean views!

I just got back from a very relaxing vacation in Maui. I stayed at this beautiful condo in Kihei. Kihei is such a nice town - quiet and peaceful, yet lots of fun things to do within walking distance. There are plenty of shops and restaurants and even a club or two with live music for evening entertainment. There's a beach just steps across the road and many more within a very short drive. I swam on the beach and snorkeled, and relaxed by the very nice pools that the condo community has to offer.
Maui is a gorgeous island and this condo is centrally located in Kihei so that you have quick and easy access to things like helicopter rides or driving up the volcano for the incredible views of the island. I highly recommend the helicopter ride. It was the best! You are also a very short drive away from Maalaea where you can catch a sunset cruise, deep sea fishing or snorkeling cruises.
The unit itself is nicely decorated with local island flair. It has everything you need to have fun on the beach, including beach chairs, snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach mats and towels. It's situated at the front of the complex facing the ocean so you have an amazing view. I spent time out on the lanai just watching the ocean and relaxing.
The owner was gracious and helpful. He even provided a book in the condo with restaurant menus and recommendations as well as activities to help you plan a great time while you're here.
I highly recommend Maui for your next vacation and this condo is the place you want to stay in Kihei when you go!

My husband and I have visited Maui for the past 25+ years. The last 15 visits have been to Maui Kamaole, so we have stayed in lots of condos. This was our first stay at Todd's condo, but will not be our last. We were there for almost 4 weeks. It's hard to know where to begin describing the wonderful visit we had in Todd's Maui Paradise, so I'll begin with the parking space! This is the best parking space in the entire complex!! It is literally only steps away from the front door. When you are carrying luggage, groceries and beach stuff in and out, you will understand what I mean!!. Then you walk into a beautifully decorated condo!! Everything is first class. Comfortable bed with beautiful linens, thirsty, thick towels, fantastic art work (I want that doggy picture) and a FULL size washer and dryer. Everything is clean, neat and LABELED!!! I loved the tile floors,,,so clean, and the lovely new area rugs. Then, there's the newly remodeled bathrooms...WOW!! The nicest ones I have ever seen in a condo, and there really is room enough for two in the shower!!! Another first for us was that Todd actually gives you a closet in the living room that will hold your empty luggage...no more trying to hide it behind doors and under the bed!! The kitchen is especially neat, clean and well equipped with new, top of the line cookware and, again, everything is LABELED. There is a nice selection of books if you did not bring enough books with you, and lots of DVD's...if you prefer to watch TV over sitting on the Lanai and looking at the beautiful view from there...it is an awesome view. Todd has provided a wonderful picnic basket, nice, thick beach towels and great beach chairs and umbrellas. Everything you need to sit on the beach everyday!!! He even has blankets to go watch sunrise from the volcano. Honestly, we've done that and really prefer sunset...but you might still need the blankets even for sunset. It's the most amazing sunset you will ever see. There are many, many great places to eat within walking distance and Todd has menu's and his recommendations all neatly bound together in a notebook...it's very handy!! In my opinion, Todd has gone the extra mile for his guests; he is easy to communicate with and a real nice host. You won't regret your stay...you will want to live there!! Todd's Maui Kamaole abode will make you homesick! You'll want this for your home year around and be heartsick when you board that plane back to the mainland. What a premier experience. Every amenity is within your reach and the aestectics of this slice of paradise go far beyond the 5-star designer bath rooms, bedroom, kitchen, dining and living room. The lanai will become your escape, with palm tree swept views of the ocean. We could cook a gourmet meal with local ingredients then sit outside to watch the sun set on the water and the painted sky over the western mountains. As a yearly visitor to Hawaii, this was a breathtaking experience. Staying at Maui Kamaole in this gorgeous unit was better than staying at a resort. Every morning I could walk to my choice of breakfast haunts. What was unique this visit? Having the snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, coolers and more in my own closet ensured that I went to a different beach every day instead of sitting in the same chair at the same resort's pool or sand. I saw more of Maui than I had ever experienced. Going to the local markets for fresh caught fish, upland veggies or organic beef enhanced my dining experience. This palatial property is so close and convenient to shopping, restaurants and nightlife. I felt centrally located to all the best Maui has to offer. If you like to pamper yourself...this unit is the place! Mahalo!

My wife and I had a magical trip to Maui in early June 2010, and spent a week in Todd's nicely appointed condo at Maui Kamaole. Todd was extremely helpful prior to our trip and provided guidance and info on nearby restaurants, bars, etc. The condo itself has been recently renovated and comes equipped with all provisions you might need for the week; beach chairs and towels, snorkeling gear, picnic basket, etc. The lanai offers fantastic views of West Maui and evening sunsets. The Kamaole complex is well taken care of and conveniently located across from Kam III beach between Kihei and Wailea. Overall, we would rate this condo very highly; we had the holiday of our lives and will definitely be back!!!

Each morning as we walked out of the bedroom, we were greeted afresh by a spectacular scene of the ocean with palm trees swaying in the breeze. This was the best part of Todd's condo - the amazing view, whether having breakfast on the lanai or watching the sun set in the evening. The condo is just as Todd describes - very tastefully decorated, comfortable bedding and the extras like coolers and beach chairs were great for the many beaches we visited and the tours around the island. We love the Kihei area - we think it has the best weather and there are lots of shops and restaurants just down the street. The Maui Kamaole resort is lush with flowering bushes and exotic trees and Todd's condo is close to the heated pool. This is the second time we have chosen this resort and would definitely return here again.A few highlights of this trip included: whale watching, checking out the art in Lahaina, wine and cheese at sunset on Kam.III Beach, walking the boardwalk in Wailea (great start to the morning), breakfast at Charley's in Paia, dinners at Spago's and Ruth's Chris, sunrise at Haleakala, upcountry tour ( horseradish goat cheese from Surfing Goat Dairy is great on steak), and so many beaches - Big Beach, Wailea, Ulua, Kaanapali, Fleming and of course the Kamaole Beaches.

Knowing you for as long as I have, Todd, I was pleased but not surprised at the beauty of your condo's furnishings and design. However its spaciousness, fabulous view and close proximity to a beautiful beach are even more impressive than I had anticipated. What a gorgeous and well-located place to spend quality time on Maui!
