  Just got back from renting this home!!!! What an amazing home... better than the pictures!!! Ben, the owner, was a pleasure to work with. Home is in a great location. Don't hesitate to rent this home you will love it!!!! We definitely will be back!!!

  We stayed at Villa Capri in early December, holding our wedding ceremony at the beach across the street and our casual reception back at the house. We were pleased to find that the pictures accurately represented this beautiful beach home, and that there was more than enough room for our 23 guests to kick back and relax. The owner couldn't have been more accommodating, promptly responding to any of the minor issues that arose -- from the temperature of the pool water to the high-tech sound system that was sometimes beyond our capabilities. Even though it is not located directly on the beach, each balcony offers stunning ocean views and, I imagine, in the summer months when the main strip is overflowing with traffic, this cozy cul-de-sac must offer a welcome buffer for vacationers looking to maintain some semblance of privacy. We would and have recommended this property to anyone looking to visit the area with a large group, especially during the area's down season when rental rates are most reasonable. It's a beautiful home in a great location, and we hope to return one day to recreate the experience.

  Beautiful well furnished home in an excellent location with a gorgeous view! Perfect for family reunions or large groups. We had the best family reunion ever with 28 people and every one had plenty of room. Check in and check out was a breeze and the owner was wonderful as well and personally stopped buy to see if we needed anything. I highly recommend this home and will be back soon!!!

  I rented this house for one week, for my family and my wedding. It was perfect. The kitchen is huge!! I had caterers come and cook at the house, with no problem. The details of the home are beautiful. The beach was simply breathtaking. Ben was helpful, with any questions I had. We all truely enjoyed our stay, and the house was perfect for our wedding. I would highly recommend this home to anyone with a large crowd. The bunk rooms are great for the kids. I wish I was still there.

  Spent the first week of August at Villa Capri with our entire family (21 people ranging in age from 80 to 3). Safe to say we put this beautiful home through its paces from top to bottom the entire week. It exceeded our expectations across the board. Bedrooms are very large and well appointed with high end furnishings and accessories...only to be outdone by the bathrooms, each one larger and more impressive than the next. Kitchen is state of the art with everything you need to prepare anything from small snacks to formal multi-course dinners. Dining room, living areas, game room, balconies, etc. all combined to provide more than enough space for our family and then some. Lastly, the elevator made it very easy for Mom to enjoy every level of the home. The pool and outdoor area is where we spent most of our time when not at the beach (and we spent plenty of time at the beach...directly across the street...less than a minute walk). The pool was actually larger than it looks in the pictures (we played many a game of 5 on 5 volleyball comfortably). Pool water was cool and refreshing despite the time of year (it was between 95 and 100 every day) and the consistent breeze from the gulf made sitting by the pool feel like paradise. We spent many of the afternoons grilling up lunch in the outdoor kitchen area and serving it up poolside to be enjoyed on one of the eight, in pool bar stools. Very cool. Ben, the owner was very helpful from the early planning stages through to the timely return of our deposit. He is very responsive and encourages guests to call him directly on his cell phone if you need anything. Much better than leaving messages with some management company that manages hundreds of properties and has no "skin in the game". Thanks Ben! In short, if you are planning a trip to this area with a large group of family or friends, forget the high rise condos and hotels (which will end up costing you more when combined anyway). Rent Villa Capri, relax in luxury and enjoy the company of the ones you love.

  GORGEOUS PLACE....no expense spared in the craftsmanship of this home. Great kitchen, beautiful bathrooms in EVERY room! We had a large group for a family reunion, and this house was perfect. It was as nice in person, as the pictures in the ad, (the pool was smaller than it looks, but nice). The place is clean and well maintained. I would definitely recommend it to all my friends and anyone looking for a great place for a large group vacation! We spent most of our time at the beach and pool, but there is plenty of shopping and fun beach activities, really anything you could need within a few miles. Very nice owner, that was helpful with any concerns or suggestions.

  We stayed here and had our wedding / reception / honeymoon. This place accomodated all of our immediate family and the bunk room was perfect for the kids. The family stayed for a few days and then we had the place to ourselves for about 4 days. We felt like royalty! The "private" beach was excellent for our beach ceremony location. The Villa Capri is very beautiful and we would love to stay here again!

  I rented this house in October '10, right after the oil spill had been stopped in the gulf. We had booked the house late February 2010 for a couple of nights in October 2010. After the oil spill happened in April, we started to become concerned about the safety of the beach, and whether we could even keep our reservation. In late June 2010, we contacted the owner with our concerns. He responded back quickly and said he had just discussed with BP, and he could offer us a 30% reduction on the rental rate, and he would be reimbursed by BP. Needless to say, we were very happy about this. BP finally stopped the oil leak on July 15th. We were keeping a close eye on reports of the beaches, and heard some conflicting reports (some saying everything looked good, others saying that several tar balls were washing ashore). On July 22nd (a week after oil stopped), I sent an email to the owner, asking for a revised total, so I could send in the total amount due, with the 30% discount promised to us. He responded that "In light of the stoppage of the oil spill there is no guarantee BP will reimburse me for a discount therefore I can’t offer one to you. You can apply with BP for a discount if you like". There were several emails back and forth between us at this point as to how I could file a claim, when I did not own the property, etc. After his refusal to work with us, I was forced to file a claim on my own, to try and get this discount promised to me by the owner. I've spent numerous hours over the past 10 months, filling out huge amounts of paper work, and sending countless documents for this claim. Finally, today (May 19th, 2011) - I got a denial letter on my claim because - I don't own the property; which is what I knew would happen when the owner told me I would have to file the claim. On top of that, several of the agreed upon things from the lease agreement were not met; the owner was supposed to have sent us instructions for the lockbox to get into the house before we arrived - that did not happen. He gave us a phone number of someone to contact down there with any questions - we left numerous voicemails that were not returned. We finally had to call the owner himself to get into the lockbox, and get into the house. I would not recommend wasting your time or hard-earned money to deal with this owner. Such a shame too, because it is a beautiful house. Too bad its not enough to overcome the terribleness of dealing with the owner. RENTER BEWARE!!

  Owner response: I explained to the guest that if BP were to pay for rental discounts he could receive that. BP did not. He could have cancelled and received his money back. In Oct, when the guest visited, there was not any oil on the beach and they enjoyed their stay. I'm not sure why they feel like there should be a discount when nothing was wrong with the house or the beach. Thats probably why BP denied his claim - he was trying to take advantage of the situation. At this point we are all happy the oil situation is behind us and the beaches are beautiful! Regading the lockbox - The guest was emailed the code in advance of his stay and was given my cell and the rental manager's cell as contacts. The guest was able to get into the house upon his arrival without delay.

  All I can say is this is one "Fabulous" home. Our family of 11 spent 1 week in beautiful Destin and we all agreed this was the best vacation ever! This is a gorgeous home with all the amenities you could ask for. The architecture of this home is some of the best I have ever seen. Everything is lavish with beautiful furnishings and interior decor. The beach is so accessible and beautiful. Just minutes to the beautiful sand and water. I will highly recommend this home for anyone looking for the "Ultimate". You will not be disappointed. The owners of this home "spared no expense" in making this a one of a kind. I look forward in sharing this property with others. I wish I could own it!!!
