Words and pictures alone can not truly describe this place. The secluded location, the amenities, the style, the atmosphere, and just the general construction of this place was amazing. Six of my closest friends and I came up for a long weekend to this spot to get some R&R and some great foliage and that was exactly what we got. I can not praise enough how perfect this spot is and how awesome of a time we all had there and the memories we all made. I will definitely be coming back next fall. The only thing we had a problem with was the cookware. For some reason everything we cooked on the electric stove top stuck to the pans. I don't know if it was the cookware or the stove top that was getting to hot, but we eventually worked our way around the situation. Nut-Zee's is a great bar with some excellent food and drinks that is just northwest on Cty B about half way down to Tomohawk, so if you're in the area check it out. We saw a lot of ATV's coming through there so if you like going down trails this is one of the spots everyone stops at. If I could I would give this place 6 stars. Totally worth it!!!

Lovely house and setting
Lovely house and setting
The house is beautiful, as described plus some. Really has everything you need to cook, relax, and we found it very clean. The owners clearly put a lot of love into the house and didn't use cheap things just because they were renting. We very much enjoyed canoeing around the lake (more peaceful than the peddle boat), walking in the woods, and just hanging out on the deck and breathing the fresh pine air. Our party include a 7-year-old and an 81-year-old and we all loved it. Two useful things to know: the stairs (in the house and to the lake) are steep for an 81-year-old (though ours managed); and we wouldn't recommend the house if your main objective is swimming (small beach area by the dock, and we did swim a bit, but pretty weedy/muddy). But those were small detractions from a wonderful stay, which we hope to repeat in future years. Notes on what's nearby: The Prairie Pines grocery store in Gleason is close enough and has most things you'll need (fruits, veggies, dairy, deli, and an ecletic assortment of baking supplies, just not alcohol). Parrish Cafe changed ownership and is now called BLT.

If you are looking for a beautiful place to rent, away from the hustle and bustle of your every day-this is it. This tastefully decorated lake cabin is nestled away deep in the northwoods of Wisconsin, but within 20-30 minutes from Rhinelander and Tomahawk. The owner is quite accommodating and has maintained this cabin for all to enjoy. We thoroughly enjoyed the comforts of the cabin and loved fishing from the pier for hours on end. The fully stocked kitchen allowed us to cook meals at our leisure and the fire pit served us well for nights of smore making! The owners have thought of everything to capture the beauty of this cabin-multiple views of the secluded lake and even two hammocks to catch an afternoon nap. We canoed around the lake for hours and enjoyed finding frogs near the creek. At the end of the day, we all slept soundly to the cool Wisconsin air on their comfortable beds. Nutzees bar down the road on County B had awesome spicy wings as well. We highly recommend this excellent find. Great rental for family looking to get away-

We had a great time. The house is beautiful, clean and well equipped. Be prepared for some serious dirt road driving to get there and bring all your own food. There are no stores close by. Being the only house on the lake (more like a pond really) makes it very peaceful and relaxing. This place was ideal to kick back and relax. There seem to have been some upgrades since the pictures were taken. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to relax.

Beautiful cabin on Snake Lake
Beautiful cabin on Snake Lake
We loved our stay at this beautiful cabin. Comfy beds, and well stocked with everything you need. It was secluded and very peaceful! Knotty pine all over and very clean. Nicely decorated. We would love to stay there again! Kay and her sister were very nice people to work with on this stay. Also enjoyed Nut-zees bar down the road a couple of miles. They had great food!

If you are looking for a REAL Northwoods vacation away from the big city or your teenage kids, this is the place!!! The upscale log cabin had everything a couple could want, 2 story fireplace in the great room, whirlpool tube in the master bath & a wonderful deck that looked out onto the lake below. The most important thing was the Peace & Quiet !!! There is no other cabin on the whole lake. So throw another log in the fireplace & open a bottle of Three Lakes Wine & enjoy the wonder of the Northwoods! PS. You will need a GPS to find this cabin.

WOW! As promised the cabin is fabulous! The drive is just as gorgeous as the home, lake, and yard area. We spent lots of time reading, watching the birds, paddling around the lake, and enjoying the beautiful weather. We even saw a little black bear cub one morning while out for a walk! We will definitely be booking again! Enjoy~

Great place, very private! We swam, paddled, fished, slept in late, went for walks, cooked out, had campfires and just sat on the deck and enjoyed the setting. We were the only people on the lake. Dittos on the pancake at the Parish Cafe.

My extended family and I (my husband, my sister and her husband and two dogs, and my parents) rented this house in the summer of 2006. It was lovely! We thoroughly enjoyed our week, and couldn't have asked for more (except, perhaps, less rain :) The house is wonderful, clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. If you rent here, enjoy!
