  • Quiet, secluded and picturesque

"This was our first time using VRBO and we were not disappointed. The residence was everything we had hoped it would be and more. The house was clean and spacious for our family of four. Every accommodation was available to include a fire pit, gas grill, wifi, and all kitchen appliances. Steven made us feel welcome, and even brought us huckleberries several times. The vicinity to west glacier was only 7 or 8 miles and only about a mile to the flat head river. We stayed for 6 nights but could have definitely stayed longer. Hope to return one day."

  • Family Getaway

"We loved our stay at the condo. It was a beautiful, peaceful area. We saw several deer right in front of the condo. It was close to the playground and indoor pool which was great. Sharon was super helpful and very prompt with emailing back with info and answers to questions. I would highly recommend this property. We did have a 2 yr old and the spiral stairs were a little scary. We enjoyed the time we spent at Big Mountain riding the chair lift and zip lines and we loved Glacier. White Fish was great for shopping and eating!"

  • Big Sky vacation

"We had our family reunion in Big Sky and this condo was 1 of 4 rented in the Hidden Village complex. It is ideal for a large group of couples and would work nicely for families with kids. Very clean, very well stocked, private, yet close to the pool and rec center. Couldn't have asked for anything better."

Montana Travel Tips

Things to See and Do at Montana Vacation Rentals

Montana cabin rentals and homes offer up wide open spaces, tall mountain ranges and abundant wildlife. It is often referred to as the Big Sky State because of its wilderness appeal. Perhaps Montana's most famous natural attraction is Yellowstone National Park and the tall geyser named "Old Faithful" that erupts on a regular basis. Yellowstone vacation rentals are close to great wildlife viewing. It is home to grizzlies, wolves, and various species of deer, elk and other antelope. There are several hiking trails in the park and one of the highlights is the hike up the Iceberg Trail. The route visits the Ptarmigan Falls and then traverses the southern shore of the glacial lake known as Iceberg Lake.

For those that enjoy water sports, Montana cabin rentals along the river offer many adventure opportunities. There is whitewater rafting, paddling and fishing to be enjoyed. Another favorite way to explore the landscapes is on horseback. There are numerous road and mountain bike trails available for cyclists. For technical riders, there are miles of forest and mountain single-track sections. When the season turns, it isn't the end of the adventures. Instead, when the snows blanket the mountains, it attracts even more visitors. Montana cabins are also close to some of the best ski resorts in North America and they are also some of the more affordable to visit. There are miles of downhill ski runs catering to beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. There are also Nordic and cross country skiing trails and various snowboarding terrain parks. Snowshoeing is a popular pastime and many of the parks offer winter snowshoe hikes. There are also snow coach tours that take you sightseeing and wildlife viewing in the cozy comfort of a heated all-terrain vehicle.
