  • Wonderful week on the lake for Washington State visitors.

"We spent a week here the summer of 2013 and we were lucky enough to rent this beautiful cabin for another week this summer. The photos accurately reflect the interior and exterior of the property. We love the location as we have relatives with summer cabins on the same side of Bitteroot Lake. In fact within walking distance of this one. The owners of this cabin are very kind and helpful. We did a day trip to Whitefish but didn't have enough time there. Maybe next year we'll do it again. We always visit McGregar Lake Lodge for "happy hour," as well as the Marion Bar and Grille. Also, about 16 of us (our local Kalispell cousins and their family's) went to Moose's Saloon in Kalispell for pizza and beer. It's another "must do when we're there." We don't know the dates of our annual Montana vacation for next summer, but we're hoping this cabin will still be available for rental."

  • Perfect and Amazing!

"The property is just as depicted in the photos. The house was clean and well maintained. I rented the house a surprise for my husband for his birthday. Two other couples accompanied us. The booking process was easy and Al was a pleasure to work with. This is a beautiful home with a gorgeous rustic decor. It was extremely welcoming and cozy. The kitchen was well stocked with every utensil and appliance you would require to prepare meals. In regards to a prior review, there were condiments and staples you would find in your kitchen at home, I appreciated having the spices available. Al recently opened a beautiful brewery near by, Lolo Peak Brewing Company. Unfortunately, it was so crowded the day we went, we we were unable to give it a try. If you prefer the structured, non-private environment a hotel offers, this may not be for you. If you are looking for a great place to enjoy time with friends or family with amenities hotels do not offer, I would definitely recommend this property!"

  • Excellent Vacation Home

"This log home is one of the most beautiful homes our family have stayed in. The entire house was tastefully decorated and extremely clean, the kitchen was large and spacious, the beds were very comfortable and warm. The yard was huge, clean and the air was so fresh. We enjoyed the peace, quiet and rest away from the big city life. The deers and wild turkeys that came into the yard was a welcome site. The lettuce, herbs and peppers from kitchen garden was great to have at hand. Our experience was awesome and we will definitely hope to come back again. Renae and Mark, thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us, we can see your home was built with love and care."

  • Living in the Round

"This was one of the best choices we made in our trip to visit Montana. The yurt was an unbelievable experience that we hope to do again. We found the yurt clean, well kept, and having all the necessities to cook our own meals. Of course we had to eat at the Merc, don't pass on a bear claw or the cookies, and the Northern Lights one night, but the yurt had everything we needed. It is in a great location just far enough away from the busy bustle of the Merc yet close enough to walk to it and play some volleyball. I would and will recommend this place to anyone traveling to Glacier National Park."

Things to See and Do at Montana Vacation Rentals

Montana cabin rentals and homes offer up wide open spaces, tall mountain ranges and abundant wildlife. It is often referred to as the Big Sky State because of its wilderness appeal. Perhaps Montana's most famous natural attraction is Yellowstone National Park and the tall geyser named "Old Faithful" that erupts on a regular basis. Yellowstone vacation rentals are close to great wildlife viewing. It is home to grizzlies, wolves, and various species of deer, elk and other antelope. There are several hiking trails in the park and one of the highlights is the hike up the Iceberg Trail. The route visits the Ptarmigan Falls and then traverses the southern shore of the glacial lake known as Iceberg Lake.

For those that enjoy water sports, Montana cabin rentals along the river offer many adventure opportunities. There is whitewater rafting, paddling and fishing to be enjoyed. Another favorite way to explore the landscapes is on horseback. There are numerous road and mountain bike trails available for cyclists. For technical riders, there are miles of forest and mountain single-track sections. When the season turns, it isn't the end of the adventures. Instead, when the snows blanket the mountains, it attracts even more visitors. Montana cabins are also close to some of the best ski resorts in North America and they are also some of the more affordable to visit. There are miles of downhill ski runs catering to beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. There are also Nordic and cross country skiing trails and various snowboarding terrain parks. Snowshoeing is a popular pastime and many of the parks offer winter snowshoe hikes.
