Amazing home - Will definitely rent again!!
"My friends and I rented Laurie's home for a birthday trip. We knew it would be nice from the pictures and description, but it exceeded all our expectations. When we walked in we were greeted by a beautifully decorated living room with expansive views of the gorgeous hillside.
The house itself is amazing. There were 8 of us and we had more than enough room. It was raining one day of our trip so we cooked breakfast in the well-stocked kitchen and then spent time in the hot tub enjoying the beautiful scenery. There is also a ping pong table, which we used later on.
Laurie was easy to work with and available if we had any questions or concerns. Fortunately our stay was perfect so we didn't need to call her. She left a vase of freshly picked flowers for us, which was a thoughtful touch.
One of the best things about this home is how affordable it is. We would have spent the same amount, if not more if we had rented hotel rooms. It was also nice to be within a short drive to downtown Ashland, but also to be out in the country. There is a lake that is just over the hill from the house and I would love to come back during the summer and spend time there.
I look forward to returning to Ashland and renting this wonderful home again!!"

"Rural and magical are wonderful words, but often diametrically opposed. Most people are separated just enough from rural life as to think it is always as magical as a sky filled with the blinking star dream of a life of casual luxury. However, the truth is and will remain as long as there are rural places: creating a space for one's self in a rural setting (let alone one with enough surplus to share with guests!) is often fraught with struggle, heartbreak, difficulty, and a lifetime of hard work- equal parts luck, and a mountain of goodwill...
Luckily, at the Bad Taste BnB, you wont have to deal with an ounce of that struggle. Moana, your gracious and graceful host has seen to it that all you need to do here is relax and enjoy the hard fought and won dream of the colestein valley just outside the hamlet of Ashland. A wonderful woman. A wonderful space. And a truly magical way to enjoy this rural gem.
Don't be afraid to tip well if you feel the experience stretches to the extraordinary!"

"We love visiting Bend. The Cumberland House made it an even more pleasant experience. The house is in a fantastic part of the city. We found it very easy to walk and bike to the river, the Old Mill, to downtown and to numerous restaurants. My kids enjoyed the hot tub and it was a great relief for me after hiking to the top of South Sister. The house is well equipped in the kitchen, we cooked many times. The beds are very comfortable. It truly was a home away from home. I appeciated the kindness of the proprietor and the understanding when I accidently washed a blue towel with the white ones. Lisa was very easy to work with. We had never spent such a long time in Bend in the summertime and found it hard to leave both the city and the house. We will most definitely be back."

"The mobile home was super clean. It is NOT walkable to beach nor can you hear or see the ocean but it is conveniently located. The road to beach is very narrow and busy. But it is a 5 minute drive to beautiful Heceta beach. For the same price of a hotel room you get three bedrooms. The kitchen is outdated but very functional. Only one tv so it would have been nice to have a tv in one of the bedrooms for the kids. The home is in an area that makes you feel like you are in the woods and very private. I would definitely go back ,"
