Este histórico bungalow de 1920 ha sido recientemente renovado con A / C y nuevos pisos de madera noble en todo. Host was very nice and accommodating. The home was perfect for our need. My mother in law uses a walker which was very easy for her to get around the house. Another big plus which may not seem to matter to most but she had soft toilet paper and nice thick paper towels unlike the dozens of other VRBO’s we have stayed in. Not to mention the wonderful fireplace. We loved our stay!! Thank you The Reed family of Tampa!

The location of this house is amazing! The neighborhood is nice, and quiet, and close to a quaint little market, and coffee shop that you can walk to in five minutes! Unfortunately, we had several encounters with bugs (roaches and spiders) and that wasn’t fun. Also, communication with the manager wasn’t the greatest. I never received the door code to enter the house and had to message them as we were driving to the house. Thankfully they promptly responded with the code. However, they never respond to me when I messaged less than thirty minutes later advising that the laundry room door leading to the alley-way/side of the house was not locked and could only be locked/unlocked with a key, and no key was present. I rented this house for a girls trip, so you can imagine that us girls felt some kind of way knowing that we couldn’t lock all the doors to the house. The fact that I never received a response from the owner/manager is unacceptable.

Trash can was full on arrival and left a very foul odor in the house that lingered for days, there were several cockroaches seen, several went under oven. There was dust and debris on floor and furniture. The door handles are loose and nearly falling off on front door and two of the bedrooms. The cabinets were white but very dingy with finger prints. A lot of dishes were left dirty and did not appear to be clean in the cabinet.

This house was a perfect place for our weeklong visit to San Diego with our grandson. The neighborhood is charming, very walkable and friendly. The house provided all we needed and we would definitely stay there again.

Was super clean, beds were comfy, host was easy to communicate with and very accommodating. We will definitely stay there again. Was surprisingly close to Old Towne and convenient to get anywhere really. Parking was not a concern at all. Seemed to be plenty of spots at any time.

Great Location and Amazing Find

I came here for a quick trip with my family and we were blown away by the location and how cute the house was. It's super spacious and the photos were accurate. We really appreciate the host going the extra mile getting us checked in. The home had everything we needed and had so much character. I 100% recommend!

Great stay!

We loved our stay here. The house was exactly as described and was cute, clean and comfortable. There is plenty of parking on the street (huge for a vacation rental in San Diego). There is a cute little group of shops close by. The neighborhood was quiet and the neighbors were friendly. We’d definitely stay here again.

Nice location for Balboa Park and Zoo

My family had a great stay over the Easter weekend. We had a one-year-old and a dog with us, and the house worked well for all. We especially appreciated the travel crib, high chair and toys for the baby. During the 4 1/2 days we were there, we were able to park in front of the house almost all the time -- once, we had to park a few houses down, but that was not a problem. Note that the house is older, but the kitchen and bathrooms have been updated. There is a coffee shop up the street, but you need to drive to most restaurants. However, they are close by, and there is a big mall with many chain restaurants. We ordered Door Dash one evening, and that worked well, too.

Cozy and Quaint Bungalow that Needs Cleaning

My family and I stayed in this historic Mission Hills bungalow for two nights. The twin-sized bed in the small room was dirty, and debris was on the duvet cover, so none of our family felt comfortable sleeping in that bed. Grime, mold, and hair from previous visitors lined the shower walls and sinks, making the bathrooms grimy in certain spots. There were also spiderwebs and dust in the bedrooms, most notably along the master bedroom's gold mirror. The bungalow's walls were also scuffed up in certain places, and there was a strong, musty odor when we first walked into the bungalow that took some time to get used to. Also, while we only had a short trip, we killed five spiders. Given that we spent nearly 1,000 dollars, I suggest the host hires a cleaning team or does deep cleaning themself before their next booking.

The Blue Door Felt Like Home

We had a wonderful stay. This was our first trip to San Diego and we were not familiar with the city geography. Mission Hills is the jackpot for being close to everything! The house has everything and you can feel the care that went into every touch!

Beautiful Home, Great Location

The house is located within 15 minutes of the airport, Old Town, Petco Park, the zoo, Seaport Village and the Gaslamp Quarter. The neighborhood was quiet and there was plenty of street parking. The house was clean, the beds comfortable, and the water hot. There were lots of towels and ice available. We had a slight issue with the code for the front door but the owner quickly arrived at the property to help us resolve the issue. The owner was also quick to respond to my messages prior to arrival.

Charming all around, would stay again!

Enjoyed greatly! Pleasant neighbors, easy street parking. Morning walks through this very historic area were a lovely way to start the day. Comfy beds, great master bath shower with good water pressure. Good kitchen, underpowered microwave, cooler, various trays, heavy cutlery. Would love to see a large vase added, as we brought home an armful of flowers from little Italy farmers market - we improvised - all was well. Thank you!

Beautiful Home in San Diego

My colleague and I are here for a wound care workshop (we are both nurse practitioners), and we were fortunate enough to find this beautiful little home. This is a wonderful, comfortable place to stay and is located in a great part of San Diego. I especially loved all the holiday touches that were throughout the house. The beds were amazing and the shower pressure was wonderful. This beautiful place was a welcome place to stay after 8 hours of class each day. Thank you so much for making this stay so memorable!
