This air conditioned 1930's two bedroom is less than a minute walk to private beach on Nantucket Sound. Two bedrooms, one with queen and the other with two twins. Couch in living area folds out. High speed internet and 42' plasma TV. Indoor and outdoor showers. Kitchen includes stove, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Outdoor gas grill. Guest are responsible for bringing their own linens and towels. Many restaurants within minutes. NO PETS, Non Smoking Please.

This cottage is adorable and in an amazing location that is so close to the beach! The outdoor shower is perfect. Be aware there are low doorways in the cottage if you are tall (which I am not). The kitchen seemed well equipped though I did not use it. The host was very helpful and provided lots of good recommendations for local spots. This place is truly a gem!!!

A lovely week-long getaway

The cottage is small, but cozy. The beds are very comfortable. The air conditioners keep it cool on hot days/nights. It's a three-minute walk to the beach and to the Sailing Cow restaurant, so if some in your party aren't drivers, the location is perfect.

Great location and nice cottage!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this cute, clean and well-furnished cottage. We would love to rent it again sometime. The only downside was there were only 2 or 3 bath towels and the beds were not made. But we managed to find sheets and made do with the lack of extra towels. Maybe we were supposed to bring our own linens?

Chases Ocean Grove cottage

This cottage was perfect for my family of five. The boys had their own bedroom and there was plenty of space to spread out. The house was immaculate. I loved the back deck and the boys loved climbing the trees and riding their bikes around the community. Thank you for having us!

Amazing Cape Cod Cottage

Maizie's Cottage is the perfect example of a Cape Cod Cottage. From the porch you can look over Chase's and see the water. You can smell the briny air from the beach. You can walk to the beach in 30 seconds - what's not to like? The rooms in the cottage are the perfect size - our family of four was plenty comfortable. The back deck is a hidden gem! The front yard is great for kids to roam around and enjoy. David is very attentive to the Cottage and his guests. We hope to return again next summer!

Great location, great property manager, great communication

We were 2 adults, 1 teen and 1 child. Rented for a week in August 2022. David is dedicated to you having a pleasant stay. Communication before and during our stay was great. He was extremely fast to respond to any question or issue we had. The property was left clean by the previous tenants. The beds were comfortable. We did not use the AC as it wasn't that warm out. We cooked our meals every day. We found the kitchen well equipped and the appliances in good shape. The cupboards would need a deep clean. The BBQ and outdoor patio were all in good shape. The outdoor shower is large, private, we really enjoyed it. The location is awesome! The cottage is part of a large community and is literally 1-minute walk to the beach. The kids enjoyed digging for mole crabs, picking shells and building sand castles. There are a lot of families in the community so the kids had no trouble making friends. It was our first time on the south side of the cape. We found the beach pretty steep. At high tide there isn't a lot of space. We prefer the long sandy beaches of the interior. It can also get pretty windy some days. There are a lot of activities in a short distance drive. (mini-golf, go karts, ice-cream shop) Services(market, liquor store, pharmacy, laundromat, restaurants) are also just a short drive away. We really enjoyed our stay! I highly recommend. Like stepping back into the past! So pretty and welcoming. The place is just so well equipped, and the shirt walk to the beach is a huge plus! We we loved it!

problems that need to be addressed

janice corey 10:59 AM (5 hours ago) to Vrbo Yes the cottage was very nice and comfortable but there were some issues with the appliances that should be addressed. The refrigerator has water dripping inside. The seal on the door has a very poor seal. You have to push on it very hard to get it to seal and we had to constantly make sure that it was sealed otherwise it ran constantly. Even though we were careful to make sure that the door was sealed tight, everything inside the refrigerator was floating in water....ruining a lot of our food. Once we replaced our food, we put a bowl in the refrigerator to catch the water. We tried to use the oven in the stove but that doesn't work. There was a clicking noise from the automatic lighter but no gas was going into the oven and it wouldn't light. We even tried to light it manually but did not have any success doing so. These are things that we shouldn't have to deal with when on vacation. With newer appliances, the cottage would be perfect as it has a lot of pluses! Jan Corey

Great beach property

We had nice relaxing vacation. So close to the beach you don't have to worry about parking. Lot of restaurants, ice cream shops in short distance. We bicycled everyday to discover new places. Kids enjoyed watching rabbits and fox around the property. David was very responsive to our questions or calls.

Maizie’s Place

We had an excellent time on our vacation to The Cape this summer. We have stayed in several different towns on the Cape and in several different types of condos and cottages. We are a “no muss no fuss” kind of family and don’t spend much time hanging out at our place of lodging because we love to go to the beaches and check out the many different towns and what they have to offer. We found Maizie’s Place to be very quaint and like nothing we had stayed in before.We loved the history behind the area as well . It was a great location for all of our needs and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Very Good

We had a fantastic week at the cottage, We have 2 boys (age 5 and 14). For the 4 of us the cottage was a bit tight, however everything was very clean and we loved the back patio. It was perfectly close to the beach and we made some new friends almost immediately. The outdoor shower was perfect for hosing off those sandy kids! The owners were amazingly responsive and thoughtful. Would recommend for sure!

Clean, comfy cottage

Very nice little place! We had a great week, enjoyed the location across from the beach. Our family has rented in the area for generations, we all come down for a week in August to stay in multiple places, and we enjoy trying different cottages. This one is super-neat, well-kept, has everything we'd ever need. There were three of us staying there. I agree with the previous guest who found the beds very comfortable, and I think the outdoor shower is larger than most. Love the back seating area under the beautiful shade tree! It was the hottest week, and the air conditioning was just right. The owner was not on site this week, but was kind, helpful and easily accessible. I would recommend this one!

Feels like home

Something about this cottage just makes it feel like home! Wonderful owners. Wonderfully close to the beach. Definitely one of the best vacation houses I have ever been to. :-) The outdoor shower was great. Whoever installed it really knew what they were doing. The scenery is amazing. Its a great difference from my Alaskan scenery.

Lovely cottage!

My kids and I have been going to Chases's Ocean Grove every year for the past four years. We've never had the same cottage twice (it just never works out), so this was my first time at this one. The owner was communicative and we had no trouble at all. We happened to go during a very hot week and the air conditioning was great to have available! The cottage was clean and one of the larger ones I've seen. Though the parking is off the main road, it's set back and feels private. We're very grateful to have found this one!

The BEST Chase's Ocean Grove Cottage I've Stayed in to Date :)

I've been going to Chase's all my life and this is the best cottage I've stayed in there. It is on the larger side, for a cottage. It was great for my family of 3 (and we had a guest one night). It was clean, well stocked with anything we would need and the beds were VERY comfortable. The front yard was great for a morning cup of coffee or a game of corn hole. The back yard was excellent for eating a quiet dinner, lounging with a book, tree climbing or taking a family picture. One last plus, the owner was available at all times to answer questions, if need be. I would definitely stay here again!!! Thanks for allowing us to make family memories where your family once did :)
