  Our families had such a relaxing and fun time staying at the Sandbar Corolla. There were 10 of us and the house was the perfect size. The house is very clean, beds are very comfortable and the family room was the perfect place to watch the NCAA games... even though Duke didn't win. The kids had their own space and plenty of room to spread out so we were able to thoroughly enjoy our vacation. I don't think I have ever eaten so many meals in during a vacation but the kitchen had everything we needed! The location is ideal with restaurants and grocery stores all within 5 minutes and most importantly, a quick walk to the beach! The hot tub was so much fun! We hope to come back when it's warm so we can enjoy the pool and decks. Thank you for a wonderful week and we are looking forward to the next trip!

  This beautifully decorated beach house is the ideal place for your beach vacation. We stayed for a week and enjoyed the sauna, hot tub, morning walks on the beach and to the great coffee shop, and much, much more! Don't want to eat out for every meal? The kitchen is fully stocked for your cooking pleasure (right down to the beautiful & bright Fiestaware- it made everything just look fun and delicious!). Shopping, movies and great restaurants are all within walking distance. The attention to detail, the spacious/multiple bedrooms, the high quality (multiple) audio-visual systems will make this your repeat beach vacation spot for years to come! Highly recommended!

  Friends and family joined my wife and our three and a half year old son for an awesome week on OBX. Sand Bar Corolla proved better than described – a perfectly appointed home with resort style amenities. Imagine your group immediately settling in with cold beverages chilled with ice from the almost overflowing kitchen ice maker. (There is never a shortage of ice at the SBC!) This immaculate house features an intelligent layout with boatloads of space in which our son loved spreading out. We wanted for nothing the whole week, and used every inch of the SBC – sauna, hot tub, pool, porches, swing and patio; the second floor laundry even became a place to congregate with its central location. Having two outside showers sped things along after beach days, and they always flowed with warm water. The enormous beach felt private – we got choice real estate each day (even getting there after 1pm) with room enough for passing the football and flying kites. We rented a gas grill from Just for the Beach, which arrived on time and looked practically new. It was perfect for cooking for a large group. We also rented three jeeps for horse tours – a great experience – and did a back country segway tour. The SBC’s proximity to everything made it an awesome home base for the week. We loved it and would recommend it to others. A great experience!

  My husband and I just returned from a week stay at the Sand Bar Corolla with another couple and their toddler. We really enjoyed our stay at this home. It's clean, up to date and a great location. We were in walking distance to the beach, Timbuck II shipping center as well as Monterey shopping center. We enjoyed floating in the pool so much we even didn't go to the beach one day and just floated away. We had a few minor issues with the hot tub and lights in one or the bathrooms. But John and Robin quickly had the issues fixed and even sent us a delicious cake from Bacchus to apologize for the inconvenience. Overall I would say after all of the years of coming to OBX this was our favorite house by far and I highly recommend staying here on your vacation.

  We just returned from our first stay in the Outer Banks at the Sand Bar and it was wonderful!!! They were very helpful answering all of our pre-stay questions. The accommodations were amazing. Just as the pictures show. The house was ready on time and we had no trouble getting our vacation started. It was very clean. The cleaning service did a great job. We are a family of seven and there was plenty of room for everyone. We seldom used our vehicles after we arrived with many things within walking distance. The beach is only 200 yards away and with the beach buggy provided it was a very easy on and off each day. Food Lion, Dunkin Donuts, many different restaurants, movies, bars, seafood, go carts, produce stands all within a short walk (all under 1/2 mile). It was very conveniently located. Night time was very quite at the house, so sleeping in was made way too easy. The pool was a nice change of pace for some of the kids that were getting tired of the beach. The beach was very clean, quiet and open. Many days we did not get there until 12noon or later and had no problem finding a nice spot to enjoy the day. We had great weather the week we were there, but remember any day at the beach is better then any day working. I would recommend the beach chair/umbrella rental for the week. It made it so much easier to get on and off the beach each day. They set up and take down daily. There are a several pizza places. We found Pasquale Pizza to be very good. They deliver and are next too the Food Lion. Dockside Seafood (also next too Food Lion) was very good. Good prices and really nice people. We had crabs, claims, shrimp, and fresh fish from them. It was excellent. The best find of all was the Sun Dog Sports Bar. Some of the best wings we've ever had and their hot dogs were great. The best bargin we found was at Just For The Beach Rentals. Bikes are only $10 per day or $40 per week. It was so much easier then hauling them all with us. I hope you choose to stay at the Sand Bar, it will be a great experience. We can't wait to come back next year!

  What a very nice home and beautiful area! The beach was clean and not too crowded. My kids loved the house and there was plenty for us to do in the Corolla area. Go-karts, putt putt, pool and of course beach time! The check in and check out process was quick and easy. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Off street parking is nice. Cable and WiFi keeps the kids entertained. Thank you so much, you have a beautiful home!

  It was a joyful and relaxing week spent at the Sand Bar in Crown Point, Corolla. The house was clean, beautifully decorated, and the kitchen was well stocked with necessities. The hot tub was a favorite. The temps were a little cool most of the week for the pool but we still enjoyed it. We rode our bikes, played tennis, and took numerous walks on the beach. The walking distance to the ocean was not far at all. It was sad to leave on Saturday morning but our seven days in Paradise had to end. We pray blessings upon all who are privileged to stay at the Sand Bar this summer. your home throughout the summer to you and all those who visit. We have treasured memories of our visit and hope to be able to return again in the future. Our entire family was completely satisfied with our selecting the Sand Bar.

  This house was conveniently located, but still felt isolated. It is about a 2 minute walk to the dune and you're on the beach. The neighborhood is just off NC 12, almost directly across from the Tim Buck II shopping center, which has plenty of restaurants. There is a Food Lion very close and also a Harris Teeter. Owners were easily accessible by email/ text with any questions while we were there. The third floor porch/ deck is incredibly relaxing. I said if I was any more relaxed I would have been in a coma. You will enjoy your stay at this house!

  We couldn't have asked for a more perfect vacation rental. The owners were a pleasure to work with both before and during our stay. The home was very clean, up to date and had plenty of room for all. We had 12 guests in total (4 adult couples and 4 children ages 8, 7, 7, and 5). Although the home was slightly farther away from the beach than others in the community, the privacy that it afforded was well worth the walk (only 200 yds total). The outdoor showers and pool were extra bonuses that we wouldn't trade either. The home is within walking distance from Timbuck II and the grocery store as well. We did not see a single home that we would have preferred to stay at during our vacation and we would definitely recommend this home to all others.

  This was our family's first visit to the Outer Banks and we loved everything about it. This house was wonderful! It was clean and very well-maintained. We had plenty of room, the pool was wonderful and so was the hot tub. Because it was at the end of the street, it felt very private yet we were so close to everything. The short walk to the beach was easy for our kids and the beach was beautiful. We really liked having a lifeguard at the beach as well. We also loved having all the shops and activities so nearby. It was also so convenient not to have to pack linens, towels and beach chairs. Everything was provided and was great. The beds were super comfortable. We stayed in for dinner and grilled a couple of nights and the gas grill worked great. One place that we went out to dinner that we highly recommend is the Red Sky Cafe in Duck. And for ice cream, the kids loved Big Bucks right across the way in the Timbuck II shopping center. We also did a wild horse jeep adventure that was awesome. John and Robin (the owners) were also so great to work with. They always got back to us immediately if we had any questions and were so nice. We would definitely recommend this rental to friends.
