Aloha and Welcome :)
Nothing between you and Sunsets but the Pacific Ocean.
In the morning swim from the house to one of the nearby beaches and then jog home through parks saying hello to new friends. Dolphins, sea turtles & mantas are daily sightings. In the evening enjoy the sunset from the hot tub and then a massage. Dinner might include locally caught lobsters or fish. After catching up on e-mail, watch a movie and then let the waves lull you to sleep in a very nice bed. This is the perfect setting for a relaxing get away.
Two sets of French doors frame a lawn and then the sea. This home boasts a Hot Tub only 20 feet from the Pacific Ocean complimented by a Lagoon Style Dipping Pool. They share a shaded patio accessed by another set of French doors. Attractive Landscaping includes a sheltered paths, palm trees, and greenery around the pool. Footpath lighting helps you find the front door at night. The views are spectacular.
A list of more features that make this a very nice house to live in:
·Fresh paint and constant maintenance and appliance replacements are just part of living here.
·Rock walls, automatic security gate with copper detailing, a new copper roof, travertine floors, modern kitchen, indoor rock garden (zen?)make it aesthetically appealing.
·The modern kitchen is fully supplied with quality pots, pans, cutlery, silverware, glassware, etc. and all the normal appliances.
·Besides two full size sofas, the living room contains a giant plasma TV with surround sound, a massage chair, and an X-Box 360 and Playstation 2. Wireless Internet access extends throughout the property.
·The front-loading washer and dryer are quiet and do a great job. I hang dry my nicer clothes in the ocean breezes on the shady side of the house.
·Both master suites have individual oceanfront lanais and killer oceanfront views. Expensive Serta mattresses and high thread count sheets are quite comfy. There is a giant California King in one bedroom and two extra long full (queen length, full width) in the other. Each suite has its own bathroom, of course.
·One suite has a bathtub with separate shower. The other has a stall shower with ocean view. You can watch whales while you take wash off the sand from you latest beach adventure.
·Natural air-flow makes the available air conditioning and ceiling fans besides the point on most nights. But it is there if you want it. There is also a whole suite fan if AC is not your thing.
·An outdoor hot water shower is the best way to rinse off after the beach. That is also where my baby son is bathed.
·The hot tub has lighting and a sound system and enough jets to make me hover. Its perfect for a honeymoon. Please keep it clean :)
·There is more than enough off-street parking for two cars. (I have had three in here, not including the garage that is off-limits for the time being.)
I fish and swim and dive immediately in front. There is also a sandy beach & grass park called Pahoehoe Park less than a hundred feet away to the South where I play with my son. Pahoehoe provides snorkeling & boogie boarding & fishing & nice places to just lay around in. On Saturdays a hula halau (school) dances in the park. Another 100 feet beyond Pahoehoe is White Sands Beach. White Sands is a popular boogie boarding and volleyball site. Going the other way up Alii Drive about the same distance is Lyman’s and then Banyan’s surf breaks. Bring your surfboards and underwater cameras :)
This house is a few minutes drive from Kahaluu Beach Park where surf lessons are provided and there is beginner snorkeling. It is less than five minutes from Keauhou. Keauhou is the nicest neighborhood on the island and also a great resource for provisions and entertainment! Keauhou Center has a KTA Supermarket, Longs Drugs, seven-screen movie theater and numerous restaurants.
Crib, stroller, highchair, infant swing, jungle jumper, car safety seat, etc. available on request.
Also available are a three bedroom condo in Waiulaula on the Mauna Kea Resort. |
