  Ellis Hollow Historic Church proved to be a perfect house for our long weekend in Ithaca. Three couples spent three nights very comfortably with room for more. We each had our own bathroom and very roomy comfortable bedrooms. We enjoyed the quiet country setting and were only minutes away from our activities at Cornell University. We gathered in the living room each evening for conservation and to enjoy the fireplace. The listing was exactly as described and the photos show exactly what was there. Everything was neat, clean and well maintained. there was ample parking available for all of our cars. We would recommend this property to friends and relatives and have raved about it to others during our activities.

  This is a beautiful property and the interior photos don't do it justice. It has been beautifully renovated, with gorgeous hardwood floors, and is delightfully quirky inside. Each guest was intrigued and had to "take the tour" within minutes of arrival. Although my wedding was postponed and didn't take place there (as was the original intent), it would be a great venue for a small ceremony. We easily accommodated 20 plus guests for dinner (brought our own extra table) and it still felt spacious. Since we had a group of 'yours, mine and ours' family and friends, we also rented the Carriage House. The twenty something's. enjoyed having their own separate space over there, complete with kitchen, living room and 2 bedrooms. In the main building, the bedrooms were very private and comfortable and there were enough bathrooms for everyone. We put the tweens in the lower level and they loved having their own private place to gather. It was a wonderful place to build memories with our combined families having the space to really get to know one another but still have private places to retreat to. I hope we have the opportunity to host another family 'reunion' there.

  We rented the Church at Ellis Hollow for the weekend of my son's wedding in Ithaca. We needed a place big enough for extended family and friends to stay in. The Church (and Carriage House) really fit the bill. The Church was comfortable, well-appointed and elegant with enough room (especially bathrooms!) for everyone to get ready for the big event. And it was a perfect place for other wedding guests to come to so they could unwind and chat after they arrived from their destinations. It really is a perfect spot for a large group!

  Dear Ron and Linda, We just returned from a wonderful time in "our" church. To begin with, it's certainly beautiful to approach, the lovely paint job, the flowers, the picnic table..which we used under the tree and then moved back to its original place. There's plenty of parking, although we only had two cars. The inside is a lovely mix of old, vintage-y church/like items. It's fun and funky, and having all the amenities...separate bathrooms, tubs, showers, working fireplace, tons of clean linen, and a stocked kitchen full of conveniences, coffee filters, Saran wrap, garbage bags, mops, paper towels, clear instructions on recycling..made it very easy to know what to do. I liked that we could call maintenance, but didn't need to. I thought the posted "rules" were complete. We have a house in Maine that we rent, and I remember trying hard to make sure the list of rules and suggestions was clear but not exhausting. Thanks again for such a great time.

  The house looks even better than the online photos, great place to stay, and a very unique setting. It's in a quiet area, but only a short drive from downtown. There's a nearby grocery store for supplies. Good kitchen, enough plates and kitchenware for a full house. There are two pull out couches - although I'd suggest using the one downstairs, the upstairs one took three people to put back in as the frame is bent. Not the most reliable internet connection, but better than nothing. Overall GREAT place, all 13 of us like it - recommended!

  I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at the Ellis Hollow vacation home. The house is beautiful and has been perfectly restored. It had everything we need for a great family weekend. We were there for parents' weekend to visit our son and it was a very short drive (less than 10 minutes) to the Cornell campus. We will certainly stay there again when we return to Ithaca. Thanks again, Mary Beth K
