This immaculate ocean-front home has a private stairway to one of the most beautiful beaches in California. The views from the hardwood deck are stunning-Morro Rock to the south, Point Estero to the north, miles of uncrowded beach in between. You can stroll for miles on the beach, beachcombing and exploring the tide pools. Younger members of the family can try their hand at surfing or boogyboarding, or build sand castles while their parents watch from the deck. When you return from the beach, at the top of the steps is an outdoor shower (hot and cold water!) to wash off the sand and salt.

The recently-remodeled great room is also designed to take maximum advantage of the view. You can watch the sun set over the water while eating dinner, or watch the fog swirl around Morro Rock while relaxing on the sofa. Depending on the season, you are likely to see dolphins or sea otters swimming just off-shore, and further offshore you might even see a whale spout. In the evening, you might decide to light a fire in the gas-burning fireplace. The sound of the surf will probably be the only sound you hear, unless you put a CD in the stereo, or turn on the TV to check out one of the many cable channels.

There are two immaculate bedrooms, with baths ensuite. Children often choose to play, and sleep, in the loft overlooking the great room. The large kitchen is fully equipped, including a new range, dishwasher, refrigerator, and microwave. There's a single-car garage (large suv's might not fit), and parking in front for two vehicles.

The area's attractions don't stop at the shoreline. Cayucos and nearby Morro Bay abound in great restaurants, antique stores, and unique boutiques. A thirty-minute drive will take you to world-famous Hearst Castle, at San Simeon, and the elephant seal rookery at Piedras Blancas. The charming city of San Luis Obispo is only twenty minutes away. You can tour the Mission, check out the Thursday night Farmer's Market, or perhaps take in a world-class performance at Cal Poly's Performing Arts Center. Just south of San Luis Obispo is the world-famous Edna Valley wine-growing region, famous for its chardonnays and Rhone varietals.

A half-hour drive east, around Paso Robles and Templeton, you'll find more great restaurants, and friendly wineries that produce some of California's finest zinfandels, cabernet sauvignons, and other red wines that have made this region one of the fastest-growing tourist destinations in California.

California's Central Coast has everything for an enjoyable vacation, and our beach house is the ideal place to stay. The most difficult part of your stay will be deciding what to do next.

This house, this location, and the owners have created a slice of Heaven on earth. We have been to this special place multiple times and when we arrive and step into this wonderful home we immediately feel like this is "our beach house". It has been stocked with everything you need to make this the perfect get-away! The amenities and ambiance of the home are 1st class. When you look out at the beautiful view of the ocean you feel like to have escaped to Shangri-La. Stay here once. . .you will want to stay here always and forever!

We fell in love with Cayucos during the time our daughter was attending Cal Poly. We were put on a waitlist for this home and were thrilled when Judy called a few years back with the great news that a week opened up in September. Our daughter has since graduated but we keep coming back. This home is located on one of the most beautiful beaches in California. During the days we enjoy coffee on the deck while watching surfers and dolphins, walks on the beach, shopping, dining at great restaurants nearby and wine tasting, with one goal in mind: to make it back to the house by sunset so we can get some beautiful photographs and our dog gets to play one more time on the beach. This home has everything one needs to dine in comfortably, enjoying the fire and the sound of the surf in the evenings. The owners are wonderful to work with and keep the house immaculate. We have rented many vacation properties; this is the only home I would recommend without hesitation.

I think we figured out that our first stay here was 1999 ! The house has had many amazing upgrades --inside and out--since our first year. The only thing not improved is the view--how could you ever improve that ? It is great for those who want to sit by the window or those who like long walks to the town of Cayucos or Morro Bay. The fireplace is wonderful as is the shower (which I am going to try to duplicate for my border collies at home this year). 2 weeks is never enough--we always end our time with dinner and a "flight" of Paso Robles wines near by at Hoppes on our last night . The owners are very hard workers who keep the place the "showpiece on the sand".

We have been coming to this very special beach house for 10 years. We look forward to coming each year for our "week" which has changed over the years from January thru April. Each week is different and special and we can't wait to soak it all in which is sitting and watching the beach life go by on the perfect deck, the wonderful views, Morro Rock , beach walks, drinking wine and watching sunsets, The perfect week!

For the last few years our family has had the week after Easter as our designated week for vacation on this beautiful beach and it's been great ! Our child and grandchildren look forward to each year and talk about "our" beach house and what we're going to do when we get there. Our family take advantage of all the restaurants in the area and always go up to Hearst Castle each year for a different tour. Unfortunatly the waters always cold when we're here but our grandson still tries to swim at least once ! Everything you'll need is provided and all you have to do is pack a couple shorts and come on over! Our family hope you'll love this place as much as we do..........

My husband and I spent two peaceful weeks up here; the house is immaculate, as advertised; all amenities included to make for a delightful stay. The ocean view is stunning; the beach is particularly beautiful in that area of Cayucos. The owners are very easy to work with and great communicators. They were very solicitous as to our experience, and wanted to make sure we found everything in good order. We are definitely planning on returning next year.

This is the perfect vacation home. Beautiful view that I could watch forever. Watch the sunset very night. Very clean and has all the amenities. Close to lots of things to do. But we mostly want to stay at the house and mostly out on the deck watching all the sea critters, the ocean, and dogs and families on the beach. Great walks on the beach.

We have been going to Cayucos for our mother daughter trips for the past 10 years, but since we have found this home 6-7 years ago on this beach our trips have excelled to be the most special trips ever. The home is on the beach with the most spectacular views anyone could ever imagine or hope for and your nights are filled with the sounds of the ocean waves as you go to sleep. We always find the home in immaculate condition as the owners always want your stay to be as perfect as you do. I have stayed in this home with my mother, my sister and my husband because no matter who you are vacationing with this is the priority one place to stay when you are planning a trip to Cayucos, Morro Bay, and/or Cambria. All three towns are within 15 to 20 minutes of each other and provide many activities for all ages, not to mention the friendliness of all the local people. It also goes without saying the wildlife abounds here and it is beautiful to watch. You will not be disappointed staying in such a special home.

Our family has been coming to this property for years, and we love it. So much so that our kids actually call it "our beach house". The house itself is very cozy and well maintained. The deck overlooking the beach and surf is our absolute favorite -- it's a great spot for BBQs, sitting in the sun and watching surfers, people, dogwalkers, dolphins and otters go by. Over the years, the owners (Ken and Judy - great people btw!) have made several upgrades to this home. A few recent upgrades (there are certainly more!) are new hardwood floors, sofas, flatscreen TV, mattresses, deck furniture, etc. Also, everything you need for your stay (linens, towels, kitchen supplies, bbq, beach toys, chairs, etc) are provided on site so you don't need to lug them from home. The property is located on a great stretch of beach and you can walk for miles on the sand in either direction. It is also centrally positioned between downtown Cayucos and Morro Bay so you have tons of options for restaurants, shopping, etc. We recommend this house to friends all the time, and we will certainly be returning here very soon.

We stayed at this wonderful beach house back in March. The house has been lovingly taken care of and the furnishings are cozy and inviting. The living area is spacious, has a gas fireplace, and has a million dollar view. There is a large deck with table and chairs so you can sit outside and watch the waves. If you want to get to the beach, just go out the sliding door to the deck, and go down the steps. Every day we saw otters swimming in the surf. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, silverware, pots and pans, bakeware. If you want to cook, what you need is there. The bedrooms have comfortable beds with plenty of linens and towels. All you have to do is unpack your car, bring in your groceries, and settle in. For families, one good thing to know, there is an outdoor shower so you can rinse off before coming into the house. Also, a hose is provided so you can wash off your sandy feet! The owners are great and are happy to answer your questions. I If you want a fun, relaxing week at the beach, stay here!

About the owner: We are retired teachers, who live in nearby San Luis Obispo, and normally clean our beach house ourselves. We stay in it ourselves a couple of weeks a year, so we keep it clean, well-maintained, and equipped as if it were our primary home.

                  Why the Owner Chose Cayucos:
Cayucos is recognized as one of the nicest beach towns in California, with the beach extending 2 miles in either direction.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
There is a private stairway (42 steps) to the beach. The beach is one of the few dog-friendly beaches on the Central Coast. Views from the deck and the great room are amazing.
