Completely renovated and utterly charming two-story cottage with breathtaking views of Searsport Harbor, Penobscot Bay and Islesboro! About 100 feet to the beach and a five-minute walk to shopping, restaurants, and the Penobscot Marine Museum, the cottage is bright, airy, and fully equipped with stove, refrigerator, microwave, grill, cable TV, and wireless internet.

On the first floor, French doors lead from the kitchen/living area to a spacious deck where you can read, relax, watch the lobster boats and the seagulls. Upstairs is a cozy bedroom with queen bed, brand-new bathroom, and large windows with spectacular views. Searsport is in the heart of Maine's mid-coast area and is an hour's drive from Acadia National Park.

  • The cottage was immaculate and well maintained, decorated in soothing ocean colors. (It looks exactly like it does in the pictures on the website.) The considerate owners were very respectful of privacy and yet available for specific advice if needed. The cottage is perfect for a couple, or for someone wanting to write, be creative, or "get away from it all." But the most special thing was the view of the ocean and the rocky coastline surrounding the property. At night with the wind in just the right direction, you can fall asleep with the sound of the waves.

  • This is a fantastic property and we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday there. It is well-equipped, immaculately clean and superbly situated. The view over the sea is wonderful, whatever the time of day. The owners are there if needed, but otherwise are very discreet. All in all - highly recommended.

  • perfect getaway spot... with the most wonderful hosts... anne and barry went out of the way to make me welcome and make the stay enjoyable... beautiful maine cottage with lovely views... to wake up in the morning and see the beautiful vista from the bedroom just makes you want to get up and explore the coast...i was up the first week of november i can just imagine the place in the summer... this is the perfect maine cottage... searsport is a beautiful area too... so much to see and do...many thanks anne and barry...i will return.... jim d
