Wonderful Maine Get Away Cottage

The cottage is so comfortable and the view of the water so relaxing..... even the first few rainy days didn't dampen our stay. Our dog Sherman loved the cottage too and once the sun came out he had great fun running around the grassy yard and on the beach. The cottage is exactly as shown and all the amenities were just as described. The location is the best for going sightseeing in any direction and while exploring the beach just steps from the cottage, I found 2 lovely pieces of beach glass. Anne is so welcoming and helpful we would surely recommend this Searsport cottage to our friends family. :)

My husband & I spent the week of our 30th anniversary in this lovely cottage. As soon as I walked in I loved the decor and the cozy atmosphere it created. I missed having a bathtub, but I would still have stayed here because everything else is so good. The view from the cottage is spectacular and it is close to some really great restaurants. Anne has many brochures and information in the cottage. We certainly appreciated that. I would recommend this cottage. Rent it, you won't regret it.

Beautiful cottage with gorgeous ocean views and stairway to the beach.Our dog Maizey enjoyed the walks along the beach as much as we did! The owners were so nice and helpful. We brought our motorcycle (as well as car) and spent 2 days riding along the coast and inland over Waldo County. Great stops along the way were Dos Amigos Restaurant in Northport and Dockside Restaurant in Belfast. Great place for a romantic getaway!

We had a very enjoyable stay! Very clean cottage! Same as picture shown on the site. Very comfortable bed. :o)

Owner response:I e-mailed these guests to find out why they gave my cottage four stars instead of five. Their response indicated that they would have liked a night light in the bathroom, which I have since installed. They also mentioned that they would prefer curtains on the living room windows and door on the water side, and a larger, flat-screen TV. When designing the cottage, I put a lot of thought into all of these details. Even when open, curtains would impede the view of the water from the living room. There is nothing but lawn between the cottage and the water, and it is all my property, so privacy should not be a concern. There are blinds in every window in the bedroom. The TV fits the cottage, both in size and in style. I have had guests in the cottage from May through October for four years now and have had nothing but positive feedback. I appreciate the four stars and the kind comments from these guests, but strive to provide a top-notch experience for everyone who visits my cottage. A Wonderful Spot for Vacation

The cottage is just as delightful as it appears on the website. It was immaculately clean and well cared for. The views are fantastic, and it is conveniently located to many of Maine's natural attractions. The owner is great and was very welcoming yet not intrusive. It would be hard to find a better place for some rest and relaxation for a couple wishing to get away from it all.

The cottage was immaculate and well maintained, decorated in soothing ocean colors. (It looks exactly like it does in the pictures on the website.) The considerate owners were very respectful of privacy and yet available for specific advice if needed. The cottage is perfect for a couple, or for someone wanting to write, be creative, or "get away from it all." But the most special thing was the view of the ocean and the rocky coastline surrounding the property. At night with the wind in just the right direction, you can fall asleep with the sound of the waves.

This is a fantastic property and we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday there. It is well-equipped, immaculately clean and superbly situated. The view over the sea is wonderful, whatever the time of day. The owners are there if needed, but otherwise are very discreet. All in all - highly recommended.

perfect getaway spot... with the most wonderful hosts... anne and barry went out of the way to make me welcome and make the stay enjoyable... beautiful maine cottage with lovely views... to wake up in the morning and see the beautiful vista from the bedroom just makes you want to get up and explore the coast...i was up the first week of november i can just imagine the place in the summer... this is the perfect maine cottage... searsport is a beautiful area too... so much to see and do...many thanks anne and barry...i will return.... jim d
