Great vacation condo

We stayed here for 2 weeks and were not disappointed. Location is perfect - right on the beach with well kept grounds and pool. Nice sandy beach - great for swimming. Nice to walk right out to the beach and pool. Photos and description are accurate. We were able to BBQ which was handy. It is central on the island and close to many attractions, especially Maui Ocean Center, Maalaea harbour and Maui Plantation. Great to have parking right in front of our unit on a quiet street. Kids loved having a TV in their bedroom as we did in the master bedroom. Owner was helpful and easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend this condo and we would be happy to return in the future.

From the initial contact with Daniel, to the last minutes in his unit - a tremenduos ecperience. Daniel was always quick to respond to questions (even small ones) we had about our upcoming stay at his Oasis on the Ocean. His Assistant Stephanie was able to meet a local rental company we hired to assist us with travelling with our very young family. She met akamaimothers.com before our arrival, as well as after our departure for the delivery of play-pen, inside toys, bed-rails, as well as a start grocery product list. The location was perfect as it was not a busy area of the island - making us feel very safe!! The pool and ocean are closer than they appear in the pictures. Ground floor was very enjoyable to be able to walk out to the ocean without having to takes the stairs or elevator. The grounds were kept very clean and maintained by "Oscar" the groundskeeper - highly reccommend you introduce yourself to him. He will bring frsh fruit, and flowers from the grounds to you, and your family on a dialy basis. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the condo - and will definitely be back inthe future!!

Owner response:I'm glad you guys had a great time! Looks like there's a typo on the dates of stay. So, just to clarify ... Chris and Sandra stayed 11 nights, from May 29, 2011 to June 9, 2011. My condo is in a great location and is well-equipped for most needs. However, in the case of furnishings for infants and toddlers, we rely on local services. My local assistant is great. Not only does she manage the arrival and departure details (including cleaning and supplies), but she also handles maintenance requests and other special needs. In this case, she was able to coordinate with the baby-furniture rental company. And yes, Oscar our groundskeeper is very friendly and always makes visitors feel welcome.

Great Family Location and Unit

Our family (including 2 young kids) stayed at Daniels condo for a week and were not disappointed in any way with our decision to rent his condo. It was an EXCELLENT location in the complex, and it was a bonus that the floors were tile and easy to clean, when you are constantly coming and going from the pool and beach. The condo was more than adequately furnished with everything you could need in a kitchen to prepare any kind of meals, lots of towels (including beach towels), boogie boards, kids sand toys, a women's snorkel set, and 2 coolers!! We were very happy with our choice to stay in Maalaea, as it was easy and time efficient to get to any other place on the Island. Also it was a 10minute walk to the aquarium, which we took our kids to everyday. Great parking, the condo complex was quiet (even with lots of kids staying all around us), and the pool was perfect. The beach in front of the complex is nice, but it is very rocky out in the water, which made it not so swimmable. We HIGHLY recommend this condo!! A great updated condo for a GREAT rate compared to other units in the same complex.

Owner response:I do take pride in making sure my place is well-provisioned, so I'm glad you could take advantage of the amenities in the condo. As for our beautiful sandy beach ... there are ample places along our shoreline to enjoy swimming. But yes, you may sometimes encounter rocks as you wade in. Nearly every beach on Maui has a few rocks here and there on the ocean floor. (It's a natural aspect of volcanic islands like Maui.) But not to worry ... you can find many areas of our beachfront that have a smooth, sandy ocean bottom. Another option: bring reef walkers or similar footwear to use when wading in.

13 nights and no surprises - Daniel is a class act and the condo is top-noch. Great location and quiet - Daniel thought of all the details so expect you will have all the comforts of home We can't wait to go back again someday.

Owner response:Thank you! Mike and his family had the good fortune to be staying at my place immediately following one of my periodic visits to my condo unit. So they were the first ones to benefit from the minor upgrades I did (new coffee maker, toaster oven, towels, and misc furnishings). I'm a bit confused by 2 of the items in the "Recommended for" list. Pet owners? Well, the condo complex doesn't allow pets (and besides, Hawaii requires a quarantine protocol). Without a car? Certainly doable if you're happy to simply enjoy my condo and the resort grounds for the whole time. But you really need a car to explore Maui. Maybe this was a glitch where all of the possible items were selected by accident. LOL

Daniel, staying at your condo was everything you promised, and more. It is in a great location. Close to many golf courses and to a magnificent part of Maui. We stayed three nights at your condo and then a week at the Westin Villas. I wish we had reversed the order. there is no substitute for walking out your door, standing in the ocean and watching the sunrise. Thank you

Can you say Location. 15 minutes from airport/costco. 5 miles to kihei, 15 miles to lahaina. Great pool, beach, commercial grills.Bottom floor unit.Big new T.V's What a value!

My wife and I enjoyed our trip to Maui and Maalaea as much as we did the first time in 1986 when we also stayed in the Kanai A Nalu complex. Your condo met all our expectations and was every bit as nice as your web site portrayed it. I would and will recommend it to any one interested in a trip to Maui.

Daniel I wanted to take the time to write a review on our 10 day stay in your condo. It was exactly as you described on your listing and during our telephone conversation. The parking was easy and we were able to find a spot right at the front door on most days. The ground floor location was very convenient and made coming and going from the pool or the beach a breeze. The central location made day trips easy no matter what direction we went for the day as we started in the middle of the island. The grounds and the pool are immaculate with lots of space to find a private place to sit and talk if you want. The beach was awesome and most times we saw very few people or had it completely to our self’s which was excellent. I also wanted to thank you for your patience while we were waiting on our passports your understanding made things much easier. Now that we no longer have a cabin on the lake we have been looking for a place to visit each year and sure think we have found it. I look forward to our longer say next year and I am already counting the days!

Second year in a row that we have stayed in the condo and we enjoyed it even more this time as it feels like home! View is spectacular, and it makes it really easy to come and go from the beach/pool. Great kitchen and truly spectacular TV. Very comfortable for four people - we hope to return again next year!!
