Seasons to Visit Colorado Cabins
Colorado is a destination that can be visited year-round depending on what your interests are. Colorado is known as the home of some of America’s top ski resorts. During the winter months from December through April, it is mostly skiers that are visiting Colorado’s beautiful mountains. Many of the ski resorts have snowboarding terrain parks and miles of groomed cross country trails. In the summer months, the mountains are transformed. The former ski routes become mountain biking and horseback riding trails and the tall peaks invite exploration. There are hundreds of hiking trails that cross the mountains ranging from short circular day hike routes to longer mult-iday routes. Paddling and kayaking are favorite activities on the Colorado River. There are sections that local outfitters run commercial rafting trips on. In the spring and fall seasons, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and perhaps take in some of the historic sites.
