Although the apartment building is located in town, the backyard has a rural feel. There are many acres of forested trails that you are welcome to walk. All the houses in the neighborhood are owned by the same owner who lives on the homestead and is dedicated to providing a safe and well maintained campus. The neighborhood was established in the mid 1800’s when the lumber trade was flourishing and logs were driven down the Union River. The historic buildings remain today most notably the Union Congregational Church which is still in service and is adjacent to the campus.
