Welcome to our very large, newly remodeled and designer decorated 2nd floor 2-bedroom Villa in the award winning, prestigious and gated Palmetto Dunes Resort on Hilton Head Island. The villa has all new furnishings and it feels Brand New! It is located right on the golf course in the extreme southern corner of St. Andrews Common which is furthest from roads, and other units. It has the absolute best, most private views in St. Andrews. The commercial vacation rental companies all wanted our villa, but we decided to list on Home Away / VRBO and give you a MUCH better price.
NOTE: This is NOT the much smaller 2 bedroom unit with a much smaller deck and the 2nd bedroom in a loft with a spiral staircase. This is the largest and most luxurious 2-bedroom villa in St. Andrews.
You'll need to visit to appreciate this exceptional, spacious and truly unique 1,400 sq. ft., 2-bedroom, one-level villa with its cathedral ceilings and stylish decor. You'll be in your own, private tropical paradise with spectacular views in every direction. A huge Magnolia tree, various palms, Live Oaks with Spanish Moss, other tropical plants and a small lagoon frame beautiful views of the George Fazio Golf Course. There are no other villas, parking lots, walls or other obstructions to spoil your privacy and the tropical scenery and this is exactly why we purchased this specific St. Andrews villa.
This villa has the BEST AND MOST PRIVATE VIEWS in St. Andrews Common and it's never before been available for rent. If you need a place to STAY, get a hotel room. If you want a place to really LIVE on the Island, this is your villa!
The villa is professionally decorated and newly furnished in the Tommy Bahama style with tropical floral fabrics and art and tropical wood appointments. You'll be impressed with the open floor plan and atrium windows that fill the space with light. The afternoon sun is filtered by the large beautiful trees, just off the deck, which provide a totally tropical feel.
You'll prepare a glass of wine or a drink at the eight-foot long wet bar which separates the living space from the dining space two steps above. The brand new 42-inch Panasonic, high definition flat screen television is perfect for viewing the extended high-def channel selection; watching a DVD on the new Panasonic Blue Ray player; or reviewing your day's beach photos using the TV's built-in photo viewing features. The furniture and flooring throughout are all new. The sleeper sofa will accommodate a 6th person or a couple of children. Morning coffee or sunset with a cold drink are absolutely perfect while sitting in a new bar-height, bistro chair on the spacious, private wrap-around deck. The deck has room for everyone in the party with six chairs (four bar height) and three tables.
You'll find a private retreat in the master suite with high ceilings, golf course views and separate french door access to the villa's large, wrap-around deck. Everything is new and fresh from the tile, granite, vanities and fixtures in the bath to the furniture and 24 inch flat screen hi-def TV. New woven woods provide privacy for the windows and deck doors. Our designer advised that we should give special attention to the bedding as a good night's sleep is very important for us and our guests to fully enjoy our time on the Island. You'll sleep on the best, most supportive and most comfortable new king mattress and foundation that we could find.
The roomy second bedroom also has all new furnishings and new shades to provide privacy for the windows that face the front, entry-side of the villa. This bedroom has a queen bed for couples: an extended-length twin bed for another golfer or family member and a 24 inch flat screen TV/DVD combo. The bedding is the same new, high quality bedding that we chose for the master suite. The hall bath, just outside the second bedroom, has also been completely renovated.
On days when you choose to eat in, food preparation will be a joy in the well equipped kitchen all new appliances and refinished cabinets doors. All pots, pans, dishes, glasses, flatware and utensils are also brand new. There is a new tile floor with the original tile counter tops and back splashes. You can wash your beach towels in the full size washer and dryer just off the kitchen.
Behind the kitchen and near the villa entrance is a study with new desk, chair and artwork. This is a perfect place to open your laptop, access the villa's private wireless network and make that reservation at your favorite Hilton Head Island restaurant. There is also a small covered deck off the study with two chairs and a small table where you will find a private space to read a book or have a private conversation.
St. Andrews Common is part of the exclusive Palmetto Dunes / Shelter Cove Resort, one of the world's best resorts. The Resort offers exciting amenities and you will receive a Resort Pass which will give you driving and parking access to all areas of the Resort and all that this exceptional destination has to offer. Play golf on one of the three world-class golf courses or enjoy tennis at the award winning Palmetto Dunes Tennis Center. Bike the miles of trails using the two cruiser bikes at the Villa for your use; shop at Shelter Cove's markets, shops and mall; take a cruise, charter a boat or fishing trip; kayak in the 11-mile lagoon; fish in the surf or lagoons; dine in the many restaurants; catch a show at the Arts Center; take a short walk or bike ride to the beach or park at one of the private beach access points. All of this is available within the Palmetto Dunes / Shelter Cove Resort and you will have access.
Don't feel like walking, biking or driving? Call the “Dunes Buggy“ and one of the buses will pick you up at your villa and take you anywhere in the resort for no charge. Call again and they'll take you somewhere else or back to your villa. This transportation is available April 1 till September 30, from 8 AM till 9 PM for guests at our villa. Feel like staying very close to home? You can also relax in one of the comfortable lounge chars at the large and beautiful swimming pool and pavilion available exclusively for St. Andrews Common owners and guests... about 100 steps from your villa door.

My son and I spent a week at this villa in early May 2013. We enjoyed our stay very much. The villa is in a relaxing location on the 14th fairway of the Fazio course. The unit is nicely decorated, clean and well appointed with appliances and kitchenware. The property is as advertised. Also, working with Stan was a pleasure. He was professional and responsive. We would recommend this property.Recommended for: Families with teenagers.

This condo unit was exactly as described by the owners. All the amenities outlined in the property description were present and in good working order, i.e. NO SURPRISES ! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will seriously consider returning to this lovely property. I would recommend this unit without reservation to any couple or family looking for first class accommodations on the lovely island of Hilton Head.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

This villa exceeded our expectations. It is spacious, clean, well-appointed, beautifully decorated and very comfortable (especially the king-sized bed). It is in a quiet corner in St. Andrews Common with a large deck overlooking the golf course and is very private. This is our fourth villa rental on HHI, and by far the best one! I would not hesitate to recommend this villa. Having two bikes included was also a bonus.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautifully decorated villa. It is exactly as the photos showed it. The villa and L-shaped deck offer a wonderful view of the golf course. Stan was always very helpful with any questions or concerns we had about the villa. The villa is centrally located on the island and offers easy access to many restaurants, shopping and groceries. It is also very easy to access the beach. We would highly recommend this villa to others.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

My husband and I recently visited Hilton Head Island for the first time. We feel very fortunate to have spent our two week vacation there while staying in this villa. It is exactly as described and more. Stan was so helpful and very quick answering all of our questions. This villa is very welcoming and comfortable, absolutely spotless, and everything we could possibly need was there. The setting is quiet, private, and views all around were beautiful. We enjoyed all of the herons and egrets that visited the nearby pond - took so many pictures! Having the bikes was terrific and lots of fun to use to tour around the island's many bike paths. The nearby beach is amazing. It's such a wide beach and you can walk for miles - which we did every day! We saw lots of pelicans and osprey diving for fish and even spotted a number of pods of dolphins. There is lots of shopping on the island- outlet mall and lots of little shops - Coligny is a fun spot. We took a dolphin cruise from the Shelter Cove and saw a number of dolphins and really enjoyed the scenery. My husband golfed at all of the Palmetto Dunes golf courses and loved them all. There are lots of great restaurants - a few that we tried and loved were; Vine, Lowcountry Backyard and Bullies BBQ. It was a vacation that we will never forget and we hope to return again next year. It's such a beautiful villa that would suit a family, a couple like us, or a group of golfers - lots of space. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone!!!!.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

No need to pack anything but your clothes as everything is provided by the owners of this villa! They have paid careful attention to the needs of their renters and are excellent in answering any questions you may have. The villa is ideally located near restaurants, shopping, and the beach. We can't wait to go back next year.Recommended for: Age 55+.

This unit provided us with a delightful respit from the bustle of a large family-gathering vacation. It is immaculate, quiet and gives you the feeling of living in a luxurious tree house. The furnishings have been professionally chosen (I know because I am one) and the bedding was wonderful. It certainly is as it was advertised,,,, fully equipped kitchen, private and loaded with ammenities. The owners were also delightful to work with. To sum it up, I think this condo is possibly the best available. (I've seen a lot in Hilton Head) Thanks to the Heasleys for letting us use it.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Had a great time with a family of 5. Spacious with a great layout. Nice and clean 2 bedroom. Great wrap around porch overlooks Fazio golf course.There is alot to do in Palmetto Dunes and everything easily accessible.Beach is a bike ride away! First time in Hilton Head and will definitely be returning. Thanks for your prompt responses to all of our questions.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

I cannot say enough about this beautiful condo! I have been visiting HHI with my family for over 25 years, and we have stayed at Captain's Cove, the Barringtons, the Windsors, and Hampton Place. I can honestly say that this villa is the cleanest, most equipped and best appointed we have yet to stay in. The decorating is impeccable and the setting is relaxing. The owners were more than accommodating and attentive to every need. Their attention to detail made our stay one to remember. It felt just like home, and we will definitely be returning!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Additional information about rental rates
As our guests you will receive DISCOUNTS on golf, tennis and rentals of bikes, kayaks, canoes, etc.
We require a security deposit of approximately one-third of the total rental charges at the time of booking. The balance and separate $200 totally refundable damage deposit check are required 45 days prior to arrival.
We accept personal checks, bank checks, VISA, Master Card, or Discover Cards. All in US funds.
Additional Fees and Taxes:
Tax: There is a 10% tax that we are required to collect for the South Carolina and Hilton Head Island governments.
Cleaning Fee: We require an $80 departure cleaning fee to to paid on each rental. We actually pay $105 for a supior cleaning, but we only pass along the $80 fee to our guests.
Damage Deposit: We require a separate $200 damage deposit check that we return to the renter.

About the owner: We are Stan and Jane Heasley and, as of 2010, we are both now retired and thoroughly enjoying life. We absolutely love Hilton Head Island and we're sure that you will too. It's like no other place in the country.

Hilton Head Island is like no other place in the US mainland. We have rented houses and vacationed along the East coast from Maine to Florida and enjoyed the variety, but many places were wind blown sand or heavily commercialized. Hilton Head Island is very different. The Island is a forest of mature tropical trees and plants. Commercial signs and storefronts are pushed back into the trees to preserve the island feel. It looks very natural and tropical, but it's truely amazing the variety of activities, culture, restaurants, family activities and... did I mention the pristine beaches? If your looking for action or relaxation, Hilton Head Island has it all.

The villa is located in the Prestigious Palmetto Dunes / Shelter Cove Resort with all of the Resort activities, golf, tennis, other amenities and private beach access points along three miles of the best beaches on the east coast. The Resort has everything but, if you decide to leave the Resort, you can bike about anywhere on the Island from this mid-Island location. Two Fuji cruiser bikes are provided for your use and additional bikes may be rented at a 20% discount when staying at our villa.
