Aloha from the Garden Island. Our home and lower floor studio is located in Hanalei on the North Shore of Kauai and is only a 60 minute drive from the Lihue Airport This spacious lower floor studio is situated just footsteps (100yds)to the beautiful Hanalei Bay.
The slow pace of Hanalei Bay ranked #3 in the top 10 beaches in the nation on Kauai’s north shore makes this two-mile (three-kilometer) long, half-moon beach at the foot of emerald mountains and glittering waterfalls the perfect place to stop and soak up the sun. Beachgoers can swim, bodyboard, and learn to surf in summer’s calmer waters. In the town of Hanalei, a five-minute walk from the beach and a throwback to old Hawaii, you’ll find surf stores, gift shops, with a variety of restaurants casual eateries, a grocery store, post office, fish market, farmer's market, art gallery, a beauty salon and kids selling fresh leis on the street corner.
Horseback riding, helicopter sightseeing, tennis,and golf at world-renowned Princeville Golf Course are all within minutes of Hanalei Town. Bus Service nearby is available six days a week and runs every hour from 5 a.m-6 p.m.can take you from one end of the island to another.
This 550sq ft.simple,clean and affordable self-contained lower floor guest studio has a private entrance and a partial view of the mountains with it's cascading waterfalls. Our home and guest studio is nothing fancy but provides most amenities needed for a comfortable stay. It has an outdoor lanai with a barbecue gas grill and side burner for outdoor cooking.The kitchenette has a refrigerator and a microwave for light cooking so you can dine in and save $.It is at an ideal location for first-time visitors to Kauai or travelers on a limited budget. Perfect for a couple or a small family visiting our beautiful island. Awesome location for surfers during the winter months, perfect for families in the summer. Coolers, beach towels, mats, sand chairs are provided. Boogie Boards and Bicycles can be used at your own risk. We will not be responsible for any incidence that may occur while using these items.
All bookings require a security deposit of $125.00 and will be returned within 14 days after the unit has been cleaned out and checked. Come share the Aloha spirit with us! Call for more information. Aloha!
PAYMENT
Reservations must be paid in full 45 prior to check in. Only Cashier’s check, post office money order, or cash will be accepted.(traveler’s check if You are already on Kauai),
(We do not except credit cards)
DEPOSIT
A minimum $125.00 security deposit is required to confirm all reservations. It is required 7 days after the booking is made. This deposit is separate from the rent, which will be refunded by mail within 14 days after your departure. Deducted from the deposit will be any missing items, late checkout fees, loss of keys, extra cleaning or damages that exceed normal wear and tear.$65.00 lost key and entry lock change fee.
CANCELLATIONS
Notification of cancellation must be received 45 days prior to arrival. All cancellations are subject to a $125. cancellation fee from the beginning of the deposit paid. Cancellations less than the 45 days will result in forfeiture of full deposit and monies already paid. Guest is responsible for the entire time booked. No rental refunds are given for early departure, late cancellations or bad weather.
OUTCLEANING FEES
A fee of $100.00 for single/double occupancy, $120.00 for three, $140.00 four Cleaning fees will be added to total rental charges after the taxes. We expect the unit to be left in a “neat” condition prior to your departure. A professional cleaning person will come in to clean and prepare for the next check in arrival. Extra charges will be assessed from the deposit if there is unnecessary cleaning done after your departure from the unit or anything is found damaged or missing. *Late checkouts will be result in a $20. Per hr. late checkout fee from the deposit if the cleaner has to wait after 10:30 a.m. unless prior permission has been given.
CHECK IN: 3:00P.M.
Checking in should be anytime after 3p. If for some reason you will be arriving later in the evening please let us know so we can leave a light on prior to your arrival.
CHECK OUT: By 10:00 A.M.
Unless prior arrangements have been made, check out is by 10:00am Cleaning person will be here by 10:00 a.m. so that she will have ample time to clean unit before next check in arrives. If something has been broken please replace it or if lost kindly inform us before checking out or leave a note with payment to us.

We are one of the few still trying to keep our home that we have raised our children here on Kauai. We had a great time here, stayed for 16 days, it did rain a bit so we ventured out to the west and south side of the island, but we were so close we could hear the waves every night, the only thing we didn't like about the place was the flourescent lighting, other than that it was exactly what we were looking for. I rated this with 5 stars due to it being exactly as stated and it was soooo convenient to have snorkel gear, ice chest, beach umbrellas, chairs, towels, etc. It is not a 5 star hotel or anything, but for the price, and location, it was awesome! we wish we were still there! we had the most amazing time at your home two weeks ago, debbie! thank you so much. the rental was spacious, light-filled, clean and so perfectly located near the beach and in the center of town! we rode bikes every day to eat and surf and explore the area. we felt right at home! thank you for opening your house to us and your kind generosity. we cannot wait to come back. we left to spend a week in oahu after kauai and the entire time, we wished we just stayed with you! we even emailed you to see if we could come back for a couple days to escape back to paradise before returning to florida:) we hope to return in the spring. i will be in touch.... mahalo

My husband & I celebrated our anniversary and stayed for 11 days in this lovely studio. It was our first time to Hawaii; the trip exceeded our expectations. We look forward to coming back. The studio was exactly as described: It was very clean and larger than we had anticipated. A modest size kitchen with a good sized fridge. The living area was spacious and allowed separation from the sleeping area. We were so thankful for the other amenities that helped us feel more at home & take advantage of our trip: We grilled almost every night and saved a lot of money instead of going out for every meal. There were plenty of towels, beach mats, an umbrella and all kinds of beach items. We went for bike rides on most days and it was a wonderful way to get around Hanalei. The outside shower was great for rinsing off all our snorkel & beach equipment at the end of the day. The location was amazing. This is literally 2 short blocks away from a large, beautiful beach that is great for laying out and surfing. The backdrop of the mountains and waterfalls was incredible. (It may be a drive to other points on the island, but we just made a couple of day trips out of it for excursions... we also found we were staying on the most beautiful part of the island and it felt more laid back because there weren't overcrowded resorts) and the beaches on the North Shore are the best on the island. We went snorkeling at least every other day and we were a short drive away from the best spots. Lloyd & Debbie- mahalo for your hospitality! The fresh flowers and fruit were such a nice surprise. We felt so at home and the affordability of your studio made the trip possible.

One block from the ocean, listening to the waves at night, coffee on the beach in the morning, this place was perfect. Nothing fancy, but quite fine for our family of 3. Walk to the beach, walk to town (or ride their bikes), or drive around the island. It's all there. It was very clean, the owners were available but unobtrusive, the photos are accurate. If you want 5 star, this place is not for you. If you want a laid back non fluff but clean and comfortable place to stay, this place IS for you. Very friendly owners. Even without an oven we fed ourselves all week with the refridgerator, grill, toaster, microwave, and range attached to grill. Even though seeing the rest of the island was quite a drive, it was worth it to stay in Hanalei very night.

Thank you once again for an amazing stay at Hanalei Hale. This was our 3rd year in a row staying here. WE LOVE IT! Not only did we enjoy our vacation relaxing in Hanalei but we also celebrated Chelsea's 4th birthday and Natalie's 1st! Mahalo for the beautiful handmade plumeria leis that you made for the girls.
