  • Serenity Now!

"In a family of 20 people (ranging in age 6 months to 76 yrs), it may be hard to find some serenity now. But don't worry because you can find it in Casa Buena Vida. Our main activities were sitting on the deck reading, watching the Pacific Ocean go by filled with breaching whales, jumping ray fish, fishing boats and cruise ships. Of course this isn't the full list of activites, could it have been the pool table, the bag toss game or the pool and hot tub that were the best thing? But no... was it the beaches near by, late afternoon cocktail cruise or margaritas at Victor's. Or the hills in Pedegral that were great for jogging for all to keep in shape. Was it that every room has a spectacular view of the ocean that was so welcoming you felt like you were in your own home. Wrong again. It was definitely David the House Manager/Chef, his outstanding staff and Feliciano the cabana man that made our stay so enjoyable. From the cold beer and Margaritas to the meals that were so perfect. Hand made guacamole, salsa and chips. The beautiful surf and turf dinner for New Year's Eve so well prepared and presented. Our week at Buena Vida exceeded all of my expectations, would go back in a heartbeat. Run, don't walk to the nearest airport and come here!"

  • AMAZING

"This was the best trip ever. I can't wait to go back. The grounds are immaculate, the people are friendly, the food is delicious and the unit we stayed in was perfect. It had everything we needed. It was close enough to the town to walk. The restaurants on the property were amazing too. The water was calm in this area so we were able to go in. The walks on the beach were the prettiest I've ever seen. We are booking another trip back in November. Everyone must see Cabo at least once and the only place to stay is LaEstancia. Our unit had a perfect view, morning sun, wi-fi, and was well equipped with everything we needed."

  • Exceeds expectations in every way

"This was our second stay at the Estancia. Both have been excellent, but this unit is definitely in a class by itself. Its tastefully decorated throughout and it quite simply feels like a home. There is no chance you will leave disappointed or not find the value associated with this condominium and indeed the Estancia resort overall. In particular, we really appreciated the kitchen which has about everything thing imaginable stocked (we like to cook), and Camille has the unit also stocked with other necessities like paper goods, soaps, detergents, etc.....stuff your need but a hassle to go buy for a short stay. Like other reviews say, its a beautiful, clean, and well positioned unit with a view and great location to catch the morning sun while out on the balcony drinking coffee in the double lounge chair. We will absolutely be renting this unit again on a future vacation to Cabo I also have to say that the Estancia is a wonderful resort for people who have never stayed there. The people are warm and friendly (which is indicative of the people in the region overall and what truly draws us to Cabo), and the amenities are great. The restaurants and bars are top notch, the resort has an outstanding fitness center/spa, and its never overly crowded. In fact, we were there at spring break this year, and at any time of day we were able to find great chairs/lounges at the pool or the beach. This is a big deal if you want to avoid having to get up at 5 am like other resorts to scramble down and try to claim a patch of land for the day....we hate messing around with that stuff, so being able to be in Cabo during spring break without the feeling of huge crowds is a major bonus. You wont go wrong choosing this great resort, and they don't come any better than this unit as part of this great location . Lastly, if you have never been to Cabo or the Baja peninsula, you owe it to yourself to try it. The culture, the people, and the fantastic beauty of the desert and mountainous landscapes make it a truly unique place. With almost 365 days of sunshine you cant go wrong with the weather. Its a safe place to come (we have teenage daughters and are very protective parents), and there are numerous adventures to have while there to sink your teeth into. All in all, this a great region to visit, the Estancia is a top flight resort, and this unit is an absolute gem to consider your home away from home."

Baja California Sur Travel Tips

Family Fun at Baja California Sur Vacation Rentals

Baja California Sur is a great family destination. The vacation homes available vary in size and some can accommodate up to 16 people. This means that you can enjoy a vacation with your siblings and their extended families, and have a whale of a time enjoying the beaches and other activities together. There are a number of well-known resort towns along the coast and many vacation rentals available in each town. Some of the more well-known vacation areas include Todos Santos, San Jose Del Cabo, Tortuga, La Paz, and La Ribera. Favorite activities include fishing and golf, although there are plenty of other activities to keep the kids occupied. The beaches are great for building sandcastles, although the sea can sometimes be a bit too rough for swimming. Many of the vacation homes have swimming pools where you can cool off from the Mexican heat.

Seasons to Visit Baja California Sur Beach Houses

Baja California Sur enjoys a year-round hot climate. For some people, the summer months of June through August may be a bit too extreme but still many families come to enjoy their vacations during this time of year. Possibly the better time to visit is December through April when the weather is slightly milder and temperatures aren’t quite as hot. You can still enjoy warm sunshine each day and if the evenings get a bit chilly, you can always light up the fireplace to keep warm.

Luxury and Comfort at Baja California Sur Resorts

You can enjoy sweeping views of the Sea of Cortez from the bedroom of your vacation villa. Wake up each morning with the sea peaking over the water and glistening in the early dawn. Large shaded decks provide the ideal place to enjoy meals and socialize with family and friends. Take a batch of your favorite books and enjoy reading in a hammock while the warm breeze blows overhead. If you enjoy watching the waves, you may be fortunate to spot whales, dolphins or rays playing in the waves below. You will find that most villas are extremely spacious with multiple dining and living areas suitable for groups vacationing together. Modern and well-equipped kitchens make holiday catering easy. Some villas offer the services of a cook or house manager who will take care of groceries and preparing meals upon request. Bedrooms have ceiling fans or air conditioners to provide respite from the heat. This means that you are able to enjoy the warm climate without feeling discomfort.

Things to See and Do near Baja California Sur Vacation Rentals

One of the favorite activities on the Baja California Sur peninsula is fishing. Often, you can fish from the beach right outside your vacation home which negates the need to get in your car and travel anywhere. If you would like to head out and try to catch some of the big game fish such as marlin, tuna, dorado or wahoo then it’s best to join a fishing charter. The boats go out daily from the local marinas and are crewed by professional skippers that know where to find the fish. Be sure to take a wide-brimmed hat and loads of sunscreen, otherwise you may come back looking like a lobster yourself. There are several luxury health spas in the region where you can enjoy some pampering treatments and beauty therapy. This is an ideal way to spend your day when your spouse heads to one of the top-quality golf courses in the area.
