  An awesome get-a-away for a mid-winter break! Our family of 8 adults thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this rental home. We came "up north" to partake in a chili cook-off at the Boone Docks and try our hand at some ice fishing. Both were a success. Big Glen Lake also provided a great time of ice skating. Having town a short 5 minutes away made for some shopping and wine tasting by the ladies. The property is easy to find and offers ample parking for multiple vehicles. It was appreciated to have everything we needed available to us, no need to pack the "little things". The home is well equipped with whatever you think you will need for your stay. The wood burning fireplace, stereo system, pool table, and bonus space upstairs were all put to good use. Luck was with us for a bright, sunny, snowy weekend which made for beautiful pictures. The lake is just panoramic! Thank you Kamp Kendall for making new family memories for us to cherish....we will be back again someday.

  I should admit that my family was very satisfied by this property. Everything exceeded my expectations. The size is just right for 8 people and full of amenities including washer/dryer, full kitchen and even a pool table. Location is also perfect/quiet, off from the main road/right next to Glen Lake. It is also located a few miles from little downtown where you can get stuff you need. It was little awkward at the moment that the property was sitting behind the main house but it was not a big deal for us.. Actually having the owner nearby was not really bad to ask questions, to borrow stuff that I forgot to bring. Overall this was an ideal place for relaxing and also seems that you can get lots of actions when it's not so cold. Very looking forward to coming back.

  Our family had a great experience at this property during our first vacation "Up North." The City of Glen Arbor and the entire Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore were big hits on our trip. The dune climb/hike to Lake Michigan, Heritage Trail Bike Ride, Pierce Stocking Drive Tour and a visit to Cherry Republic are MUST DO'S. Also enjoyed walking around the streets, shops, and restaurants of Glen Arbor. However, the biggest hit of our trip was our time on Big Glen Lake. The property is as advertised...and much, much more. The home/property are beautiful, clean, and well maintained. The owners are on site and (as previously mentioned) are very welcoming, friendly, and helpful without being intrusive. They were very gracious and appreciative hosts. The house and the property provided EVERYTHING for our vacation. The basics of the house were there, but all linens, towels, kitchen/cooking items, were also there including a few nice extras - a dishwasher, blender, coffee pot and washer/dryer in the garage area! The pool table was great and the whole home stereo system was perfect for entertainment. The 2nd floor has a great sitting/TV area with a wet bar so everyone can have their own space when needed. The lakefront has use of the swimming area, a canoe, a kayak, life jackets, water toys, a fire pit, lawn chairs...and most important...a hammock looking out to Glen Lake! All in all, would absolutely come back and would highly recommend this property to family, friends, or anyone interested in a perfect blend of activities/sight seeing....or doing nothing but relaxing!

  We vacationed at this home with our friends. Our party totaled 4 adults and 4 kids (ages 7, 7, 3, and 2). We were very comfortable in the house and the location was ideal. The rental house is on the same property as the main house. As renters you have access to the shared back yard, where we spent a good deal of time while at the house. It includes a wonderful, sandy beach area for the kids and includes a hammock, fire pit, comfy chairs, kayak, canoe, pier, and anchored raft. The water stays shallow for yards and yards, so it's ideal for kids. The owners were super helpful without being obtrusive. Glen Arbor is so quaint and pretty. The home location is just 4 miles (less than a 10 minute drive) from "downtown" Glen Arbor.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

  We loved this house and all its amenities. It offered a perfect beach for my 2 and 4 year-old granddaughters and for my 29 year-old daughter! The washer and dryer in the garage was a god-send and the kitchen really was fully equipped. My grown children loved the pool table. We were impressed with all the private space the house offered and how quiet it was; we didn't seem to hear one another even though we were all going to bed and getting up and different times. Owners were unobtrusive and so helpful. My husband loved eating outdoors and my grandchildren were delighted by the waterfall feature and the resident frog. We will come back!

  Five star vacation! We could not have picked a more perfect place or perfect people to rent from. Accommodating doesn’t even begin to describe the owners. They provided everything we needed and more. Beach, sunsets, chairs, kayak, pool table, hammock, and an entire three bedroom house with all the comforts of home available for your use. We were actually sad to leave. This is the type of place that has you checking your schedule for the next opportunity to come back.

  What a wonderful weekend our family shared in this beautiful home! We rented it for our wedding weekend as a home base for our family. The owners were so kind and accomodating! upon arriving, we were pleasantly surprised with a kind note, and some devine local treats. The family friendly home is nestled in the most peaceful, breathtaking area you can imagine. It realy doesnt get much better than the sleeping bear dunes/ and the charming glen arbor area, not to mention the tranquil Glen lake. It felt like heaven and we didnt want to leave! The house was much more spacious, comefortable, bright and cheery than the pictures give it credit. The cleanliness/ organization of the house was top notch. Better than any 5 star, yet it felt like home. The layout of the house is so open and welcoming. It really was a great spot to socialize. The pool table was the icing on the cake for us. It almost brought a tear to my eye watching my family reconnect, compete and laugh together while enjoying pool, and card games. We took and short ride to the dunes together and had the time of our lives, running and jumping off sand cliffs (even my 50 year old parents!).After the jam packed, nonstop days, the huge jet tub felt like heaven, and the beds were more than comefortable. The place really had such a positive impact for our family! It felt like there was magic in the air! We will certainly be back to visit.

  We enjoyed a family gathering for a week. What a great property - plenty of space, a very fully equipped kitchen (only 10 minutes from the local IGA for stocking up). The location is beautiful. We've been to lots of Northern Michigan destinations, and Glen Lake lives up to its billing. It's hard to find a more beautiful setting. We found lots to do on the property - even when it rained (hey, this is Northern Michigan, you're bound to get a little rain) Skylights, sliders and windows allow the sunshine and lake breezes to flow through the house. We look forward to coming back!

  We stayed here for seven nights in mid-June and it was great. Really beautiful views, very convenient to Glen Arbor and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Forest, lovely evenings at the fire pit. We had 3 boys ages 17 to 25 with us and the bedroom with the bunk beds was great, large size lower bunks (full size) and twin uppers, they were very comfortable. It was very quiet, well off the main road, and when we were there no one was staying in the main house or in the houses to either side. Maybe a little close to the main house but we were able to use the laundry room there. This is a very nice and comfortable house with beautiful views of the lake and lots of deck to sit out on. I don't know how they did this, but when the boys were playing pool and blasting music downstairs I could not hear anything from my upstairs bedroom. I would definitely go back, but would probably bring my own kitchen knife or two as they were very dull. All in all an excellent place very comfortable for the 7 of us.
