Wow... What a view

The Condo is just as described and fit our needs as we had, 6 adults and 1 child fit into this unit with no problem. The kitchen is just right fro one person at a time. The unit was very clean and the upstairs master bed room was huge along with the bathroom. There are 2 doors (lockable) to the upstairs bathroom. One from the loft and one from the master bedroom. This was nice, as we had 2 adults sleeping on the futons who shared the bathroom. The unit was stocked with plenty of nice towls and we did wash them a few time we were there. Nice also to have the beach towels provided, along with some beach chairs. Kitchen has a great set of Circulon cookware, which I fell in love with and purchased a set once back on the mainland. The view was breathtaking and we saw our share of whales everyday from the balcony while there (bring binoculars). My girlfriend had broke her ankle a few weeks before/with surgery, so the stairs were a challange at first, but she was able to manuver around going up and down the stairs on her rump......and using a Knee Walker to get around.

This trip had been planned for a year to take our kids on and since my daughter had never been to Hawaii, this trip to Kauai and being able to stay in a great condo with an awesome view everyday, made the whole trip priceless. All together, this is a great unit and you'll love every minute your there.

Only bummer to the whole stay was that there are now bar-b-ques allowed on the property. They have one by the beach, below the condos and the walk to it can be pretty challenging (it's pretty steep, even though its a paved path). Otherwise, 5 stars for this unit, you'll love it...........

great view, great location, clean

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this second-story condo for a week. For part of the time we actually had 10 people in the condo, and it was a little tight, but it works. The whole complex is well-maintained and quiet. This condo is clean and everything is functional. I think maybe one burner on the stove didn't work, but that was it, and that's obviously no biggie. The location is great... there are sunrise views directly out the window and fabulous sunset views just around the corner. The owner provides beach towels, beach chairs, and an ice chest in the closet. Another reivewer said there's no air conditioning... true, but so what? There's always an ocean breeze, so just leave the windows open. I'm not sure what the deal is with the condo pool. It requires some kind of key card to get in, but we never saw such a card in the condo. Still, the kids were able to get in the pool by talking to the condo staff. A couple corrections about the description. First, as another reviewer noted, it's not a 3 bedroom: the futons are in an open loft. We had the kids sleep there and they were fine; I don't know how adults would fare on the futons, though. Also, there are actually two beaches. The beach directly accessible from this condo complex has a paved path going down and a nice BBQ area. However, the beach is rocky and not the best for swimming/snorkeling. But if you walk down the road maybe 1/4 mile, there's a path down to Hideaway Beach, which is a nice sand beach and has great snorkeling. (You could easily swim from one beach to another.) We would happily return to this condo.

Nice, with pros and cons

  • 4 of 5

We were here for a family wedding and all of us stayed at this complex so we saw a bunch of them. Unit is nice, clean. Really nice views. Not a luxury complex but in good condition. Mattress in upstairs bedroom is not the best, and be aware, it really isn't a three bedroom. There is a bedroom on the lower floor and a bedroom upstairs. Next to the upstairs bedroom is a loft area with two futons but no walls/privacy. Also, like all the units in this complex that we saw, there is NO AIR CONDITIONING. Seems to be not uncommon for condos on this island, although the complex next door has air conditioning. Just be aware when you book.
