One of the finest remaining virgin groves of Bishop pine in California is in the park's Jepson Memorial Grove. Why Barbie & Jeff Fairchild chose Inverness
This property was purchased by my grandparents and is now owned by our family. We grew up here enjoying the beaches, trails, nature and beauty, and hope to share it with our guests.
What makes this House unique
Helen's House is a beautiful rustic retreat that offers a getaway from the hectic daily grind and allows one to get back in sync with the peacefulness of nature. We are away from it all, and in the middle of it all being surrounded by the Point Reyes National Seashore and Tomales Bay State Park.
Sports & Adventure Activities
An excellent, cozy place to stay.
We stayed for two nights, the directions are easy to follow in the daylight, and the property was presented exactly as advertised. We took advantage of the provided firewood and had a wonderful time relaxing on the couches, enjoying the views and watching the deer wander through in the mid afternoon. Would happily stay again.
Helen's House is charming!
I enjoyed my stay greatly and would recommend this to anyone wanting to have a beautiful and quiet environment in which to get away from the daily hustle and bustle. The gardens surrounding the house are lovely, as is the view of Tomales Bay. Heart's Desire beachfront picnic area an easy walk as are many other trails in the area. I left thinking I want to return to Helen's House again.
Beautiful comfortable Home
We loved our stay here. Highly recommend.
a well kept treasure of a place
Serene place maintained by a thoughtful host. And easy access to a few hikes within couple miles.
It is a beautiful, relaxing location. Great spot for birders!
The house is very comfortable for 4 adults. Great views and abundant wildlife. The only negative aspect is the well water is brownish and smells of rust. That being said, I would still come back but be better prepared with our own water.
We sincerely apologize for the issues with the water quality. We are on a filtration system and unfortunately even though we had just had it serviced they did not change out the iron buster media. The media eliminates most of the iron in the well water, which causes the discoloration and mineral taste. They have since been back and taken care of the issue.

Perfect for us!
Cozy, comfortable, cabin-feel home, with views from each window, that bring the outside in, was the perfect nurturing spot for us. As you read the other reviews, there is a common thread, nature loving people, love Helen's House. It's location is secluded, with access to all that Point Reyes has to offer and includes looking through the trees to Tomales Bay. It's a special spot, we are all lucky that the owners are sharing it with us.
