  • Best vacation ever!

"I have made many trips to the Caribbean at hotels, all-inclusive and by cruise ships. I wanted to try a a beach rental and the Pacific. This place was perfect! We stayed at Rick and Tara's place for 7 days and had the time of our life's. Rick and Tara were amazing hosts they checked in on us a couple times to make sure we had everything we needed and left us alone to do our own thing. They also had great ideas to go check out the surrounding towns with awesome places to eat at. The place was big and spacious, there were four of us that stayed comfortably. We didn't have to worry about locking anything up when we left. We all felt safe and free of harm. The ocean was just a quick walk from the house which was completely breath taking. We were able to enjoy a cookout on the beach. It was nice to be able to go up on the roof top and lay in the hammock watching the stars while listening to the waves of the ocean hit in the back ground, our little piece of serenity. Several times we enjoyed walking into town and visiting all the little outside shops with handmade materials. It was great to adventure out and learn how other cultures live in the surrounding areas compared to ours. We will definitely look at coming back to visit again."

  • Fantastic!!!!

"My wife and I stayed at Marita's Casita's in April 2015. What a wonderful place. Close walk to the beach, where the newly hatched turtles were being released on a semi nightly basis. The view from the roof top was fantastic at anytime of the day, but especially during the early morning, before and just after sunrise, and in the evening. We did see whales breaching and playing several times from roofs vantage point. The unit is very comfortable, loved the breezy living area and kitchen. The bed was extremely comfortable. We stayed in the upper flat and loved it. Aldo was always available for questions and always provided an answer. He even helped me find the home of a lost dog. Todos Santos itself is fantastic also. The restaurants are awesome. We did not have one bad meal or experience. The people were all open and friendly. The near-by beaches were a blast. We kayaked, snorkeled, hiked, and just sat on the beach a lot. We were there eight days and did not want to leave. I would recommend Maritas Casitas to all, especially couples. Aldo the owner is always there for questions. We never got to meet Bequia, but I am sure she is just as nice and helpful. It is just a fantastic, fantastic place. We will return and really wish we could buy the place. Thanks Aldo for allowing us to stay at Maritas Casitas!!! Marc and Carolyn."

  • Paradise

"Welcome to paradise. You couldn't ask for a more comfortable, beautiful place to stay. You can just relax and never leave the property, or you can go into town and rent bikes, SUP etc. or you can find great places to snorkel. Lots of beach to walk. The kitchen is wonderfully equipped so that you don't have to eat out. We are already talking about going back."

  • Lovely house in sweet todos santos

"Great house, friendly manager nearby. The beach near the house is beautiful and deserted, but not safe to swim (though I hear surfing is great there). We ended up at a beach south of town called las palmas that was fantastic for swimming and relaxing all day. This house is outside todos santos to the north in a quiet beach neighborhood. Loved the roof deck and patios. Would definitely recommend and return."

Baja California Sur Travel Tips

Family Fun at Baja California Sur Vacation Rentals

Baja California Sur is a great family destination. The vacation homes available vary in size and some can accommodate up to 16 people. This means that you can enjoy a vacation with your siblings and their extended families, and have a whale of a time enjoying the beaches and other activities together. There are a number of well-known resort towns along the coast and many vacation rentals available in each town. Some of the more well-known vacation areas include Todos Santos, San Jose Del Cabo, Tortuga, La Paz, and La Ribera. Favorite activities include fishing and golf, although there are plenty of other activities to keep the kids occupied. The beaches are great for building sandcastles, although the sea can sometimes be a bit too rough for swimming. Many of the vacation homes have swimming pools where you can cool off from the Mexican heat.

Seasons to Visit Baja California Sur Beach Houses

Baja California Sur enjoys a year-round hot climate. For some people, the summer months of June through August may be a bit too extreme but still many families come to enjoy their vacations during this time of year. Possibly the better time to visit is December through April when the weather is slightly milder and temperatures aren’t quite as hot. You can still enjoy warm sunshine each day and if the evenings get a bit chilly, you can always light up the fireplace to keep warm.

Luxury and Comfort at Baja California Sur Resorts

You can enjoy sweeping views of the Sea of Cortez from the bedroom of your vacation villa. Wake up each morning with the sea peaking over the water and glistening in the early dawn. Large shaded decks provide the ideal place to enjoy meals and socialize with family and friends. Take a batch of your favorite books and enjoy reading in a hammock while the warm breeze blows overhead. If you enjoy watching the waves, you may be fortunate to spot whales, dolphins or rays playing in the waves below. You will find that most villas are extremely spacious with multiple dining and living areas suitable for groups vacationing together. Modern and well-equipped kitchens make holiday catering easy. Some villas offer the services of a cook or house manager who will take care of groceries and preparing meals upon request. Bedrooms have ceiling fans or air conditioners to provide respite from the heat. This means that you are able to enjoy the warm climate without feeling discomfort.

Things to See and Do near Baja California Sur Vacation Rentals

One of the favorite activities on the Baja California Sur peninsula is fishing. Often, you can fish from the beach right outside your vacation home which negates the need to get in your car and travel anywhere. If you would like to head out and try to catch some of the big game fish such as marlin, tuna, dorado or wahoo then it’s best to join a fishing charter. The boats go out daily from the local marinas and are crewed by professional skippers that know where to find the fish. Be sure to take a wide-brimmed hat and loads of sunscreen, otherwise you may come back looking like a lobster yourself. There are several luxury health spas in the region where you can enjoy some pampering treatments and beauty therapy. This is an ideal way to spend your day when your spouse heads to one of the top-quality golf courses in the area.
