  • Family Vacaton

"I rented this home for a family vacation over New Years this last Dec.- Jan. 4th '14. There were ten of us from ages one to eighty-eight, and this home accommodated us all with room to spare. The home is beautiful and immaculate, cleaned daily, fresh linens and pillows better than any five star hotel I've visited. The home is in a gated community which has it's own beach club with a restaurant and chefs at your disposal. This feature served us well. Chef Angel ordered our needed groceries and beverages, picked them up, then delivered and stocked them, and then prepared dinner for ten at the house upon our arrival late the first night. When I say late I mean dinner scheduled for 8 p.m., but because our airline lost our luggage and the resultant delay in getting to Budget Car Rental, they informed me they rented our two reserved cars to someone else then told me they had no more cars at 10 p.m.! I insisted they then take us in their shuttle to the home and arrived for dinner at 10:30 p.m. Angel and his staff greeted us with smiles and finished the gourmet meal with out one ounce of frustration at our very late arrival. Maria at the beach club helped all week with any plans to eat and explore the lovely area. They were wonderful. The owners also bent over backwards to make sure all our needs were addressed taken care of fully. The house is about a block from a very private and beautiful beach and overlooks the ocean where we could watch whales breaching, manta rays soaring and bate fish jumping to avoid being eaten!. The house is in a very quiet community with lots of privacy and thus a car or cars are needed to get to town, ten minutes to San Jose and roughly 30 minutes to Cabo San Lucas. We did not golf this time but you will be in a golf community. We fished out of Cabo, but Porto Del Cabo is just five minutes away too. I can't say enough nice things about the whole experience, you'll just have to experience it yourself. Excellent, PLUS!"

  • Quiet, clean, great view, nice beach

"We loved the condo, thought the owner was more than helpful in setting up our stay. Saw whales off beach every day. Swam in the ocean although told it was dangerous. It wasn't at all. The kitchen could have been better equipped for those who like to cook, ie; sharp knives, larger cutting boards, water filter that works, more essential condiments, beach towels that were not ripped as you cannot use pool towels, etc. Would have been good to know about the difference in how you are treated whether you stay in a condo or at the hotel. There is a difference. Overall tho, we had a great time, a much needed rest, met some nice folks and would definitely go back again. Great massages on the beach for reasonable rates."

  • Outstanding Stay, Much Better Than Expected

"This Perla unit is very well located with a nice view and beautiful surroundings, yet very quiet and it was nice to able to hear the splashing waves. It is clean and very well kept. Hashem provided daily maid service plus he sent his own limo to pick us up at the airport. Hashem is very professional and super quick in communicating and assisting us with questions before and during our stay. He quickly called us to the unit or sent an email reply. I highly recommend working with him, as I had an outstanding stay. Much better than expected, and better than stays at other places. I will be back to stay in this unit again; as a matter of fact, I just emailed him for my next stay. Thank you so much."

"We booked this condo in August of 2014 (4 months in advance) for our Christmas 2014 two week vacation. The owner gave us a great rate and answered all of our questions. In September Hurricane Odile struck the area. We heard stories about a bridge been wiped out on the only road from the airport to the condo and damage to the Cabo airport. It was clear that there was some doubt as to whether we could make it to the condo for our vacation assuming it was still OK. We lamented this as one of the risks we accepted by booking so far in advance and we were resigned to probably losing our money. As all of this was going on the condo’s owner emailed with an update on the status of the situation. An American like us he laid out the situation as best he could making it clear that Los Barriles and the condo itself were fine and undamaged. Equally clear was his assessment of the uncertainty of the pace of public works projects in Mexico. Nevertheless felt everything would be OK for our trip. He then told us that that if we were uncertain than we could cancel and he would provide a full refund less a nominal credit card processing fee. We were astounded and reluctantly accepted his offer. To be clear a hurricane is an act of god. The owner was just providing accommodations to us and it was up to us to get to the condo. If there was a hurricane and the roads were blocked and the airport closed well that was our problem not his. We received our full refund (97.5%) a few days ago. His kind & proactive steps in handling this situation (which was no fault of his) are very the definition of the words integrity and honesty. So while we never went to this condo and can’t speak to anything about it or the town; if our experience with its owner is any indication... then whatever he has described here or tells you is accurate and you can that to the bank because we just did."

Baja California Sur Travel Tips

Family Fun at Baja California Sur Vacation Rentals

Baja California Sur is a great family destination. The vacation homes available vary in size and some can accommodate up to 16 people. This means that you can enjoy a vacation with your siblings and their extended families, and have a whale of a time enjoying the beaches and other activities together. There are a number of well-known resort towns along the coast and many vacation rentals available in each town. Some of the more well-known vacation areas include Todos Santos, San Jose Del Cabo, Tortuga, La Paz, and La Ribera. Favorite activities include fishing and golf, although there are plenty of other activities to keep the kids occupied. The beaches are great for building sandcastles, although the sea can sometimes be a bit too rough for swimming. Many of the vacation homes have swimming pools where you can cool off from the Mexican heat.

Seasons to Visit Baja California Sur Beach Houses

Baja California Sur enjoys a year-round hot climate. For some people, the summer months of June through August may be a bit too extreme but still many families come to enjoy their vacations during this time of year. Possibly the better time to visit is December through April when the weather is slightly milder and temperatures aren’t quite as hot. You can still enjoy warm sunshine each day and if the evenings get a bit chilly, you can always light up the fireplace to keep warm.

Luxury and Comfort at Baja California Sur Resorts

You can enjoy sweeping views of the Sea of Cortez from the bedroom of your vacation villa. Wake up each morning with the sea peaking over the water and glistening in the early dawn. Large shaded decks provide the ideal place to enjoy meals and socialize with family and friends. Take a batch of your favorite books and enjoy reading in a hammock while the warm breeze blows overhead. If you enjoy watching the waves, you may be fortunate to spot whales, dolphins or rays playing in the waves below. You will find that most villas are extremely spacious with multiple dining and living areas suitable for groups vacationing together. Modern and well-equipped kitchens make holiday catering easy. Some villas offer the services of a cook or house manager who will take care of groceries and preparing meals upon request. Bedrooms have ceiling fans or air conditioners to provide respite from the heat. This means that you are able to enjoy the warm climate without feeling discomfort.

Things to See and Do near Baja California Sur Vacation Rentals

One of the favorite activities on the Baja California Sur peninsula is fishing. Often, you can fish from the beach right outside your vacation home which negates the need to get in your car and travel anywhere. If you would like to head out and try to catch some of the big game fish such as marlin, tuna, dorado or wahoo then it’s best to join a fishing charter. The boats go out daily from the local marinas and are crewed by professional skippers that know where to find the fish. Be sure to take a wide-brimmed hat and loads of sunscreen, otherwise you may come back looking like a lobster yourself. There are several luxury health spas in the region where you can enjoy some pampering treatments and beauty therapy. This is an ideal way to spend your day when your spouse heads to one of the top-quality golf courses in the area.
