"My party arrived on one of the last flights into Puerto Vallarta, so we were a little worried that we would have trouble getting to the house at night after picking up the rental car, etc. NO PROBLEMA! Our car rental included a shuttle to their offices in Bucerias which was right between the airport and our destination. Perfecto! Our rental agents gave us maps and set us up for the easiest pick up and drop off rental ever. We used their directions and drove right to Sayulita. Made a short stop at a convenience store at the turn off, made it to town in the hustle and bustle of Sayulita in the evening. Could not figure out the street to the casa, called the house, NO PROBLEMA! Our host was down at the plaza in five minutes to show us up to his humble abode. The house was magnificent at night, but when we woke in the morning, it was a spectacular feast for the eyes! We were in the penthouse suite with its soothing jungle tree-house appeal. As the sun began to rise over the bay, we were treated to the most beautiful colors and 360 degree views. We were giddy with our luck to be in such a wonderful place. It's as though the iguanas were queued to make a bit of noise in the tree branches outside our windows as a perfect wake-up call and greeting to Sayulita! All of the rooms were unique, had open air outdoor showers and really comfy beds! Our host has an eye for the perfect artistic touch at each turn on the property, it's very fun to see what's waiting for you around each corner! We spent most of our time enjoying the house, the use of the kitchen and pool. We ventured into Puerto Vallarta for an afternoon and enjoyed the old world charm of Viejo Vallarta. We chartered a local fisherman to take us fishing a couple of mornings from the beach in Sayulita (less than five minutes down the hill). We took a Sunday drive up the coast to neighboring San Pancho and Guayabita. All worth the while for the short adventurer. In San Pancho, we were greeted at our van by folks with trays of doughnuts. Who can say no to curbside doughnuts? Not this group!! August may not have been the best time for the fish, but we certainly had fun cruising back and forth along the most beautiful Pacific coastline from Sayulita to Punta de Mita. We are all trying to figure out how and when we will return. We have our hearts set on more relaxation and exploring more of the area. Next time, fish, you're ours!"Guest: JanaIguana Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 9, 2014View listing
"I don't think the photos did this place justice. The view from each of the units is stunning. The grounds are lush and well maintained. Our room was bright and open and the decor was unobtrusive and thoughtful. The place itself is located about 5 minutes up the hill from tiny city center, which can be a bit loud at times, so it offers a welcome retreat from the noise. I would recommend this place to any of my friends."Guest: Kasha Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 8, 2014View listing
"We have been to Sayulita a few times, but this was the first time we stayed at El Templito. I highly recommend it. We stayed with another couple, and it's a perfect place for 2 couples to have privacy in each bedroom/bath, but share a beautiful common area. The pool is great. The house is easy access to the beach. And it's nice to be far enough away from town to enjoy the quiet end of the beach, but close enough that you can walk to town in 10 min."Guest: Alexis L. "Just came back from our first Mexican vacation. We needed a lot of guidance and had many questions - something Judy (the owner of the house) did not mind answering at all. We are a family with two small kids and we all loved the house. I really cannot think of anything more one can ask for in Sayulita - it is just close to everything and it will give you the feel of being in a real Mexican house! We spent two more days in Puerto Vallarta's Hilton (all inclusive) and while we were there we asked our kids about where they liked it more. Without any hesitation they said "Casa Guamuchil"! We really hope that we will have the opportunity to go back to Sayulita, and yes, the first thing we will do it will be contacting Judy to check if Casa Guamuchil is available!"Guest: Nikola Date of Stay: November 2013 Review Submitted: December 6, 2013View listing
