The rates, pictures, and amenities shown for this listing are for the Studio. I also have one bedroom units available and my other VRBO listings present those units. The Westin Ka'anapali is a fantastic resort perfect for both families and couples and has all the amenities you would expect from a Westin Resort.
Checking into this resort is just like checking into a hotel. From the moment you arrive you will be treated as an owner and you will have access to everything the resort has to offer.
There is a small 11$ per day tax collected at the front desk. Other than that, and the potential for a housekeeping fee if the rental is not exactly 7 nights, there are no other fees. Parking and Internet are also free.
The first thing you should know about me is that I Love Hawaii. Perhaps this will put it in perspective. My dogs are name MAUI and KONA; we have a rabbit named LU (as in Honolulu). We have a turtle name Honu (Hawaiian for Turtle); and we have a cat named Kai as in Molokai. Our license plates read 'WE ALOHA' and 'I ALOHA 2'. All this while living in Cincinnati, OH, although we recently moved to Los Angeles - to be closer to Hawaii!
My first trip to Maui was in 1976 and I have been over 50 times since. Most trips we arrange to visit two islands. I like them all and I suppose Maui is my favorite.
Tom purchased this condo in 2004
The Westin Condo is the perfect intersection between luxury accommodations and condo spaciousness and flexibility.
Every guest at this resort is treated like an owner and the service and amenities are just like any first rate Westin Resort.
This is my second visit to Maui. I am very picky about the hotels I stay in so if I am saying this then it has to be good. The property is Amazing and big. If you have kids then they will have so much fun in the 4 pools they have out there. The beach is very clean and the management was awesome. They allowed us to check out later per request.
We rented a studio the room was very clean we got a unit in the north tower and the view of the pool. There was a washer and dryer and a small kitchen with dishes stocked up.
Check in was no issue at all Tom sent out an email with good instructions on what to do. We stayed 6 nights. Tom responded to all my questions and was very detailed.
My suggestion is for people to either carry or buy your detergent to wash clothes. (they give you limited laundry detergent).
Here is the only draw back - Everything cost $$$. Extra towel service will be $8 a day. Renting a Paddle Board is $50 an hr, Boogie Board is $15 a day or $35 a week. You have to buy the tubes which is $8. Food is avg nothing great. I would suggest eating off the resort if you can. Or shop in safe way or costco for sandwiches and drinks. We ordered delivery from other restaurants.
This place is awesome overall. Thanks Tom.
What a fantastic trip! Tom was great to work with from start to finish, and went above and beyond to help with a minor checkin snafu. The room was incredible, the Westin was beautiful. Overall, great room, great view, great service, and a memorable trip. We definitely recommend Tom and we will be back!
Great place on an amazing beach. Property is a Westin property so has all of the amenities and what you come to expect from the hotel. On a great great beach too.
If there is a drawback to it, it would only be that being a timeshare, the other members on the property tend to 1) have young families or 2) are retirement age. Very little in the middle.
We needed a quick turnaround as plans to the Dominican changed due to the zika outbreak and Tom was able to get us the nights we needed. He kept us updated throughout the booking process via email and answered any questions we had. We asked for a high floor, lanai, and ocean view and he was able to accommodate all. The property was above expectations, the process went great and will definitely book with Tom again in the future.
Tom was great to work with. Easy booking of the number of days I needed, 5, to join my daughter and grandkids on their holiday. Perfect unit for Nana to have her own space with a lovely ocean view. Would definitely book again.
Tom was great to work with getting dates lined up and the room booked. The property is fantastic for families, really appreciated the in-unit kitchenette and washer/dryer. Our three boys had a great time using all the pools and beach and my wife and I treated ourselves to a spa day. Snorkeling is great right off the beach in front of the hotel and everything else is a (relatively) short drive away. We were there over the 4th of July, the hotel had a lot of activities setup for the guests (mostly for kids) and Lahaina put on a great fireworks show that night.
No complaints at all! Would definitely stay at the Westin Villas again.
The Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas are located just a few miles north of Lahaina and just on the other side of the famous Black Rock. The villas/condo should not be confused with the Westin Hotel which is located just a mile south of the condos. Guest of the condo are treated just like owners and have charging privileges at the Westin and Sheraton Hotels just down the road in addition to the free shuttle that takes guest to the hotels and into downtown Lahaina.
Parking is free for all guests as well as free internet.
There is a grocery delivery service that you can use so you don't have to go to the grocery right when you arrive. I can send you the order sheet for that. I have been to Maui so many times that I am as close to a local as you can get. I have also stayed at this resort dozens of times since it opened in 2004.
