  • Family Fun in Ocean Beach

"Our stay was delightful. Pat's hospitality is wonderful. The bungalow was a perfect place to stay with our three almost adult children and two dogs. Pat went above and beyond with her hospitality, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The internet was reliable so the teens were happy. My dog and I enjoyed daily walks along the river to play at the dog beach. There are several great restaurants within walking distance along the beach. We were in San Diego for a family reunion and the quick access to I-8 made it easy to get to all the events. The bungalow was perfect to host lunch and an afternoon at the beach for the family. I recommend this property to friends and family traveling with children and/or pets."

  • Fun in Oceanside

"We stayed in the very clean and spacious studio. It has everything you need including a kitchen, large room and outstanding ocean views. Dave met us when we arrived and was very helpful telling us about the community. We used the chairs every day as well as the surfboard. The Strand is very lively during the day and relaxing to sit on in the evening. We will definitely be back and would certainly recommend to anyone."

  • wonderful vacation

"Great place to stay in Del Mar! So close to the beach with lifeguard stand and public restrooms. Excellent kitchen with everything you could possibly need for cooking and baking. Comfortable beds and large bathrooms. Lots of boogie boards and two surfboards, two fridges and a washer and two dryers. Outdoor shower is great for cleaning off after a day at the beach. So close to powerhouse park and the Del Mar racetrack and fairgrounds. Quiet neighbors and a wonderful outSide seating area with beautiful flowers and grass. Great for relaxing with a glass of wine. We will definitely be returning to this great property."

San Diego County Travel Tips

The coastal community of San Diego is the second-largest city in California. Originally, the area was inhabited by the San Dieguito and La Jolla Native American tribes before it was established as the first European settlement by Spain during the mid-1500s. The city has experienced substantial growth since its founding, and has changed hands between Mexico and the U.S. throughout its extensive history.

Located approximately 120 miles south of Los Angeles, this shoreline community rests along the the U.S.-Mexico border in southern California. San Diego experiences a warm climate throughout the majority of the year, with most of the annual precipitation falling between December and March. Winter weather is mild, and temperatures rarely drop down to the freezing point. Visitors should pack light, with a few pairs of shorts, sunglasses and a bottle of sunscreen, and possibly a light jacket or sweater for twilight chills or day trips near the Pacific.
